I also just bought a Aero 15x and was surprised about how much performance you can get out of a gaming laptop this thin. Gaming laptops always used to be a meme but I am a convert now, I tried GTA V with graphic enhancer mods and Warhammer Total War 2 and the laptop didn't break a sweat. It...
went with this bad boy in the end, wanted something slim with decent battery life when not gaming:

Ordered myself one of these with the dual 500GB SSD's can't wait to see it in action. I had the budget to go for something beefier but the battery life and sleek design sold me, I have a desktop with a 1080 that is more than capable of playing games so I wanted something I could game on at...
Do you know when the https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aorus-x5-md-nvidia-gtx-1080-8gb-gddr5-max-q-design-15.6-uhd-ips-intel-core-i7-7820hk-gaming-laptop-lt-02t-au.html will be in stock and if will be at the same price?
I looked at that laptop and even though its great, the battery life looks atrocious from reviews. I need the laptop to be at least somewhat portable. I am kind of leaning for the Gigabyte Aero 15x at the moment or maybe something with a 1080 that has good battery life.
Whats the battery life like on this? I know for gaming it needs to be plugged in but if I wanted to watch a movie or browse when away I want to able to use it for a couple of hours at least.
I am always dubious about sli solutions especially on a laptop. I worry about heat/noise being in such a small fork factor, will need to read some reviews.
The more I look the more I am tempted by https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aorus-x7-dt-v7-cf1-nvidia-gtx-1080-8gb-gddr5-17.3-uhd-ips-led-intel-core-i7-7820hk-gaming-laptop-lt-02x-au.html
Lol just need to justify the price or wait and hope it goes on sale. I really want something I could feasibly...
Thanks will have a look.
This one interests me but is out of stock https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aorus-x5-md-nvidia-gtx-1080-8gb-gddr5-max-q-design-15.6-uhd-ips-intel-core-i7-7820hk-gaming-laptop-lt-02t-au.html :(
Hi,
I am looking for a high spec gaming laptop, I am mainly looking for something sleak that is quiet and cool.
Minimum graphics card would be a 1070. I am flexible with the budget if the right laptop is available at a reasonable price. Want it before xmas but not sure if there will be any...
The issues only started happening a week ago, I was fine on launch.
I think I have sorted it though by reinstalling social club, played for 2 hours last night doing jobs/races/free mode and not a single crash. I couldn't even load 90 percent of the time and would crash within 2-3 minutes...
Not played for a week, now trying to play and the game crashes on load half the time and if I do get in it will crash at the end of a mission or after a couple of minutes running around :S
any ideas?
got a 7990 and game was fine on the first few days.
I only managed to get a few mins in this morning before work and didn't check my actual fps but the game is definitely running above 60fps and no drops on high settings on a 7990 1080 I feel I could definitely up the settings as well.
Running the game on a 7990 on high settings 1080p and the game runs silky smooth. The Crossfire scaling seems to be the best I have seen in any game to date and no stutter at all.
I am up for some games if anyone is interested. I hover around 4.5k solo mmr mainly playing supports.
Been playing dota for around 8 years since around the mid 5.XX era even was in the same clan as Puppey back in the day.
