Yea I assume since @Dirk Diggler mentioned it that it's a problem with the screen rather than the cards. First time it did it I did panic a bit, but the screen is so good. It doesn't happen often, like once a month if that, just unplug the screen power and plug it back in.
So a quick play around and I got 4125Mhz @ 1.337v in Ryzen Master for all core OC which seems to give pretty good results. Was a nice boost to Cinebench R20 over stock around 230pts more. Temps maxed about 77c when underload as volts drop to about 1.325v. Will keep playing, also need to have a...
Guess i'll just keep an eye on it. Definitely a nice bit of kit though for the price! Cooler I think I said was a Dark Rock Pro 4 so should be more than adequate I believe.
Temps still seem high though. I know it's warm out at the moment but an hours Overwatch shows a max of 78.1?! It's still on stock settings and putting 1.45v max too. Actually found the more stressed it is, the volts drop and so the temps not as high.
So when I use the Ryzen Master balanced it just stays at full speed, if I switch to windows balanced it will drop down to 0.9v 2.2ghz (5%) it seems? Ryzen Master is possibly bugged with my mobo/bios version. I have been reading MSI are having a ton of issues with the B450 3rd gen support.
Thanks that makes sense, I had come to this conclusion with some experimenting this morning. The only thing I did notice was when I set volts in ryzen master it still lowered them when the chip was being stressed across the board? I assume this is some kind of thermal/power throttling? Example...
Morning,
So i've recent got a 3600 and after having a right headache getting it to even work on my MSI B450 Tomahawk it's running the v19 BIOS and seems stable. I used Ryzen Master to drop the volts to 1.325v and set an all core clock of 4.2 and it seems ok so far, however does this stop the...
Hi,
I'm having some issues with a step-up request and wondered if there was an EVGA rep on this forum that isn't an automated CS representative who I could have chat to.
Thanks.
Anyone can do a friend invite to this? I have a beta code but it's for the damn PS4 version, didn't realise I signed up AGES ago when I first heard about it lol. TIA! Pr0phet_85 is my ubi name.
As for an answer to this I can recommend the Noctua NH-U12s for it's silence albeit not quite as good ability as some others, but a lot of people rave about the NH-D14 which is the daddy of the Noctua range as far as cooling and probably around your budget (if not used on eBay would be I think)...
After watching that I ordered the bracket for my NH-U12s. The noise on that stealth was a smidge whiny and the U12 is silent and has done a good job on my i5-3570k so should handle a much less power hungry Ryzen with ease.
Windows 10 pro and in the activation bit it says it's activated with a digital licence linked to my Microsoft account. I assume that meant I could change hardware without issue. I was more concerned with whether it would be able to recover on it's own by going from Intel to AMD or whether I'd...
Thought i'd ask in this thread hopefully without hi-jacking (also might add something for you Zed) but can anyone tell me how quiet the stock cooler that comes with the 2600 is? It's the wraith stealth far as I'm aware. I have a nh-u12s I could get the AM4 bracket for £12ish if it's worth doing...
Morning,
So ordered a nice Ryzen 2600, B450 Tomahawk and RAM. Currently running an i5-3570K. How is windows at dealing with hardware upgrades nowadays? As in, If i just switch everything over and turn it on, will it fix any problems itself? Will I need a boot CD/USB to fix issues? Will I...
I don't remember exactly, it was set up for a friend but something like this was where we started iirc:
