    How old is too old?

Still using my Antec HCP1200W. Must be 12 years old by now. Fingers crossed it holds on for a while longer .

What Linux Operating Systems do you like?

I've been using Debian Bookworm, using backports for the kernel. It's been lovely for me so far. Spent more time just using my PC, doing the things I want and not really thinking about the OS itself.

    Gears 5 - out now

Played a few hours last night, only the campaign albeit. I'm a huge Gears head so will put days and days of playtime into versus. Still on driver 382, due to Gears 4 but was getting 70-120fps for the most part. Using my 1080 at 1440p144hz

    Lucky me!

Just give me a large bag of Haribo and we'll call it even ;)

    Lucky me!

I think I most likely will make the staff aware, I can't see it being of any gain to me in this instance. But as OcUK being my go to for PC components since, well forever. I don't really want this to happen again.

    Lucky me!

It was purchased from OcUK on it's own as an OEM part. I understand it's not exactly easy to tell if a CPU has been delided by someone before returning it, but it still feels a bit pants.

    Lucky me!

I guess that's a possibility, still... feels a little naff :(. The job didn't even look particularly great :D

    Lucky me!

Aha! I can assure you that was not the case. Maybe I've got a phantom CPU delider in my house?

    Lucky me!

New from OcUK, I still don't have access to members market :(

    Lucky me!

So I got a 4770k way back in 2014 from OcUK and thought I'd grab myself a delid tool and some thermal grizzly to get a bit more of life out of it. Tool all printed off by a buddy of mine, first time doing this and boom! turns out my CPU had already had this done to it - Not sure if I should...

    Watercooled Case Gallery

Redone my loop, been quite overdue. Got myself a new crossflow rad too, which made things a lot cleaner!

Watercooling on a system thats on all day?

My machine runs pretty much 24/7, never run anything bar pastel coolants and XSPC tubing. Last time, I left it with the same coolant for almost two years. Stripped my blocks down, sure they had a little bit of build up but it was far from bad.

Poll: Will you be buying a 2080Ti/2080/2070?

No chance i'll be buying one. My 1080 does my absolutely fine and barely breaks a sweat in most games, albeit I'm still on a 1080p 60hz screen. Sure, these cards will be faster but I don't think it'll be anything crazy. Unless in games with ray tracing. Think I'll just pocket £30 a month for...

    Sprocket Bearing?

All done and once again running smooth! Was pretty easy too. Old bearing was... Pooped to say the least. Honestly, the thing that shocked me the most was the level of noise coming from such a small thing. Cheers for the help though, guys!

    Sprocket Bearing?

I actually ended up ordering myself some rubber cush drive, spacer things (what ever they're bloody called!) along with replacement bearings. They were only £14 so thought I may as well swap them out while I've got the wheel off. I'm all read up on chain adjustments / tensions so not to worry...

    Sprocket Bearing?

Well at least it sounds like my diagnostic skills are on point. I did have to ride it home, which was around 18-20~ miles from when I first heard it so hopefully haven't caused any excess damage. :( I'll order a new bearing now. Worth replacing all rear bearings at the same time, or just the...

    Sprocket Bearing?

Hey guys. Recently just got my bike serviced and MOT'd and all was dandy!.. Until 100 miles later. Was on my way home the other day and got some horrible crunch, clanky like noises and almost felt like I had a flat tyre when going round corners. Sounded like it was coming from my...

    I5 6500 and a GTX1080Ti

Not really looked in to VR but i'm shocked if that wouldn't handle some VR.

How long can I expect my generation CPU to be relevant?

I'm hoping my 4770k will last me another 2 years if I can push it. We shall see though, CPU tech is pretty exciting at the moment.
