Asrock X570M Pro4 - Power Supply Idle Control

Yes, same UEFI version too, but with the 3200G, the option appeared. Only major difference is that to get the 5700G working, i had to do that dumb lower-bios flash pre-CPU upgrade. RE: Unraid On 6.10.2, I've not had the issue in quite a while, its just force of habit to flip the option in the...

Asrock X570M Pro4 - Power Supply Idle Control

Hi, I just replaced the CPU in my X570M Pro4, changing from a 3200g to a 5700g. I can't find the setting in the UEFI called 'Power Supply Idle Control' - anyone know if its been renamed, removed, or fixed? I can only guess that its maybe been removed due to a combination of the 5700G and...

    Fan control options

Very expensive option for what is in essence a fan controller...what does it do that others dont?

    Fan control options

So the concencus here is to forego a software based solutions, or USB controller solutions, like the corsair Commander, and go old school, drive bay based, control?

    Fan control options

Probably not a bad idea, just not sure what temps to look into based on the water. What would be the advantage of the Aquaero be over another option? Looks to be expensive?

One cable with 8pin+8pin vs 2 cables with 8 pin?

Its only bad practice if your PSU cant provide stable current over one cable, or the cables themselves are poor quality. Assuming the cables are half decent, as long as the PSU can give the current over the cable its fine. In-fact, most PSU's i believe dont separate the rails, so all two...

    Constant temp chanmges on 3700x

Its normal. Ryzen 3000 doesn't function like a normal CPU would, and has more in common with how a GPU boosts up and down. Most monitoring software's cant poll quick enough to see those temp changes, so often report values that last a very short amount of time, as lasting longer than they are...

    Fan control options

Hi, I'm trying to work out the best way to control fan speed on my system. The issue i'm having is that the Corsair software is a little too aggressive at setting the fan speeds due to the quick temp changes on the 3900x, and ends up ramping up and down quite often even with a custom fan curve...

    Ryzen 3900x WaterCooling Help (Beginner)

It’s normal. I had a h100i (240mm) on mine, replaced it with a h150i (360mm) and my idles didn’t improve. Load temps took longer to get too though, but I attribute that to additional thermal capacity due to more liquid in the loop.

    140mm AIO on Asus 1080Ti - pointless?

To finish this thread off, i bought a 360mm rad to replace my 240mm on my CPU, and moved the 240mm to my 1080ti. GPU Core temps are down from a high of 74, to 41, and VRM from 92 to 66 - both after 15mins of furmark. CPU temps are up on a max small-fft p95 test by about 9*c, but in all...

Found it, the EK Phonix range, where apparently they dont do 360mm rad's anymore...

    140mm AIO on Asus 1080Ti - pointless?

Our cats sleep in the same room as my PC, and screws arnt really an option ;-) Are there any products on the market that would allow an full coverage waterblock to be used with something like an AIO? Didnt EK have some modular thing some years ago?

    Undervolting a 1660Ti

its not the overall flatness that's the issue, but when every point past 0.800v is higher, i have to adjust each one. :p With the results i'm getting out of tuning the 1660Ti, i'm half tempted to give the same undervolting a go with my 1080Ti. :p

    140mm AIO on Asus 1080Ti - pointless?

No room for a 280mm...i mean technically there is (Define R6, 240mm at front only), but i cant use the top as otherwise the cats will perch on it for warmth, so i have the bottom intake only to use. :-p At the moment i'm swaying towards not bothering...

    140mm AIO on Asus 1080Ti - pointless?

Hi, I'm looking into getting a 140mm AIO (X42 maybe), with a G12, for my Asus Strix 1080Ti. But is there any point? The cooler on this never seems to go above 70*c, the clocks hold north of 1,900Mhz, and its pretty quiet overall. A pointless 'upgrade'? or a viable luxury? Would be interesting...

    Undervolting a 1660Ti

That's a shame, as its as PITA to do manually. Anyway latest result seems good: 0.800v max voltage 1,800Mhz frequency base Custom stepped fan curve. Had 'other half play the GPU killer itself, the title that puts Furmark, Heaven, SuperPosition & Vally to shame when it comes to to heating the...

    An AIO for Ryzen 9 3900X ?

Corsair H100i v2, 3900X running stock. Idles in the 35-45 range (mostly near the top of that) and loads in the 55-60 range. Room is usually in the 22-23 range for reference.

    Undervolting a 1660Ti

So i tried dropping the voltages at 2Ghz down to 0.950 and 0.900, in both scenarios i got more heat output? (done by finding the voltage, moving the dot up to the frequency, then flattening everything after that to the same level). Tried combining adjusting the voltages charts with the max...

    Undervolting a 1660Ti

Just revisiting this. Is this just a case of your 'first' dot, adjusted as the max clock speed at a given voltage on the horizontal axis, becoming the new max voltage? Assuming that the following 'dots' in the graph are on the same level on the vertical axis? So if i set for example, 1,000Mhz...
