*** The Car Cleaning Thread ***

I use a Karcher K4 with a water butt, even though my water butt has a tap fitting I find it restricts the flow to much so I stick the pipe in the top, the K4 will suck it's own supply so the butt doesn't need to be higher than the washer.

*The Official PlayStation 5 (PS5) Thread*

I wonder if many people file a claim with paypal saying it never arrived or was an empty box, knowing what they're like for just refunding a dispute, may teach some a lesson.

    Terraced House - Honest Opinions?

I lived in a end terraced house for 12 years before buying my own. I had no problems with mine, never heard the neighbours through the house and never really had any bad neighbours. while it wasn't an issue for us some of the others on our street had a real issue with parking. some of the houses...

With me the advisor put in all my details and Halifax came back with we will lend up to X amount but require a deposit of 15%, the house I bought was 45k under what they offered to lend me but the deposit still had to be 15% of the purchase price. My credit score and personal finances were the...

    Buying a house with a 5% deposit

I have just completed on my house and my morgage lender is Halifax, for me they wanted a 15% deposit. There would be no harm in going for the AIP now to give you an indication, my morgage advisor sat down went through everything and Halifax came back with what they would lend and with what deposit.

    The nervous wait to exchange....

My seller had to take out indemnity insurance because the deeds refer to a right of way marked blue on the map. all the maps are black and white and no one has a colour version. it cost her £24 for the insurance and cost me £50 in extra solicitors fees. The costs for the insurance made it just...

Becoming a Category C HGV driver

I have both cat C+E (truck and trailer) and cat D (Bus) but I never use them due to working in an office job, everyone tells me that I will never struggle for work having those and there is always demand for drivers, however EXPERIENCE is the key and most companies will require you to have...

    The nervous wait to exchange....

I had to provide 3 months bank statements to show where the deposit money came from, but it was easy to see when the money was there and where it came from, so maybe that's why no need to see 6 months. if you have a large sum that you have been saving a while they will want to trace it back

    The nervous wait to exchange....

I’m in the same position. My house is only 10 years old but looking at it Halifax are charging me 200 for the valuation survey or 400 for what they call level 2 survey. From what I can tell this is the same as the homebuyers report, I was reluctant at first after also reading and being told...

So I have had my offer on a house accepted. I was hoping to have the keys for Xmas when I started searching in August but it’s taken me until now to find the right house. As a FTB and the house we’re buying is empty I’m still hoping it can be quite quick but have resigned to the fact Xmas is...
