Well it is an Asus ROG - You're paying for a premium product. If you have the money and are willing to spend on it, then go for it.
Looks like the B Grade isn't available anymore fella - didn't know what he price was but must have been a steal if it was available yesterday.
Oops sorry thought it was 27”
IPS is meant to be better for viewing pleasure yes however for gaming not so much. IPS screens usually have larger delay in refreshing the frames so what you on screen may not be exactly what’s happening client-side. If you’re a competitive gamer, shooters etc. I’d...
To put this thread to rest, I have decided to go with air...
Sorry @Apone70 :D
I was contemplating AIO only for the looks aspect but then again I had an epiphany : "When I game do I look inside the case or on the screen"
Reliability of air against the risk of leaks or part failure on the AIO/CLC...
My basket at Overclockers UK:
1 x AOC AGON AG241QG 24" 2560 x 1440 TN G-Sync 165Hz Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor - Black/Red= £379.99
Total: £391.69 (includes shipping: £11.70)
I'd use the amount saved on the ROG for a GPU upgrade :)
AOC are great, I have one myself 24" for 1080p gaming...
No worries mate
Personally if it was me, I wouldn't bother spending the cash on a 4K monitor for a console... period. Xbox one x upscales the resolution so it's not really true 4K.
If you have money to burn, I would invest it wisely into a wholesome spec refresh and pair it with a nice 1440p...
I wouldn't say you're selling yourself short but it all depends on YOUR circumstances.
If you wish to game on the monitor with the Xbox and PC then make sure you have both HDMI and DP connections - DP does not transmit audio
Never knew Xbox supports Freesync ? Have you got the X or S models ...
Just a random question - I've always thought a little more is better than not enough.
My specs are in the signature.
What I am asking is, should I consider getting a lower rated PSU ? Currently on 850w PSU.
I will be OC'ing the 8700k furthermore probably to 4.9 once my Noctua cooler arrives...
With a 9900k it will be way more than up to the task.
I was toying with recycling my 2700k into a dedicated streaming PC, which I may do in time but not something which is pressing right now.
I use the NVENC preset via SLOBS, haven't played yet with x264 (mainly as I just about understand what...
I do indeed. Doing so on the 2700k was beginning to show it's age, sometimes even when just gaming.
I was looking at 9700k however the lack of Hyper-Threading shied me away from it : 6c/12t or 8c/8t
Higher cost of z390 boards also didn't sit well with me.
Rocking the quad core with HT over so...
