I can do it (I did it on my own build), but the person this will be sent to isn't very tech savvy! I know it's easy, but would save me a job talking them through it :)

So going on from one of the earlier posts, plus adding a GPU just in case it helps through OBS. Something like this looks to be fine. Any advances on savings to be made or better deals than the below. I don't think I've missed anything other than Windows. Do we think OCUK would install Windows...

Certainly don't want to go minimum requirements, would like to make sure it definitely works. What kind of CPU either Intel or AMD do you think would cover that?

I'm not, but I bought it just in case I ever wanted to :) But yeah - this is just for running podcasts/live streams over YouTube so 100% not gaming. If you think an i3 would work then great.

Not sure on the Macbook Air specs, but it's certainly not good enough! You're right about SSD, 1TB not needed, 500gb would be fine. Is an i3 good enough for streaming? I went with a R9 3900x for mine so didn't do much research into lower specs :)

Ha! Possibly. Right now he's trying on a MacBook Air and it gets to 30% CPU useage as soon as it starts streaming, and gets VERY HOT, plus the picture comes through really choppy. But would prefer to get something new.

What do you think is minimum intel we can get away with? Want it to work flawlessly for the least cost (doesn't everyone? :) )

Thanks mate - so something like this should work fine with OBS/Zoom and some simple images in the background, maybe the odd video playing on stream? Is there anything you'd consider a good upgrade without going massively up in price from what you specced? Only reason I'm being so cautious is...

That's what I'm asking basically - does it need a GPU or can the CPU handle it all. But I'll check the edited post :)

What about a GPU? Going to put together something in a basket now.

This will be the only system and it's used just to stream only. It's a company that will be buying it just for this person to host a couple of podcast style videos on YouTube a couple of times a week. OBS and Zoom is about it really, plus a couple of browser tabs. Around 3-4 webcams pulled...

For non-gaming and non-game streaming is the GPU needed at all?

Hey all, Looking to help someone with building a PC for streaming that OCUK would then build for us. It's for streaming but it's NOT for game streaming and never will be, it's literally for streaming and nothing else, no games or otherwise. It's literally OBS, with a couple of overlay images...

Not even max level yet! Although not far off. Looks like the year 1 pass is down to 12 euro now. With the Warlords expansion 30 euro. Is there any need to get the year 1 pass, or should I skip straight to Warlords once I hit max level etc? Not massively sure what's actually in the year 1 pass.
