I prefer a single pc over sli/crossfire so that is no real issue for me. Will there be a noticeable performance difference in anything else (programs, transcoding etc.)
I thought about that but I forgot to mention I am overclocked to 4.8ghz. If I buy the i7 3770k I might not see the performance jump I expect for the cost.
So, I have got a little dilemma. It is upgrade time and I am unsure what to do.
My set up right now is:
i5 2500k
Asrock z77 Extreme 4
16gb ddr3 1600mhz
MSI GTX 980 ti
Corsair H110i GT
Corsair RM850
I use my PC for gaming/ web browsing and some 3D design (Photoshop/ Illustrator/ 3DS Max/...
Damn! Looks like there might be a flaw with this monitor after all. The original glasses are like rocking horse poo (and bloody expensive!) and if you break the ones that came with the monitor your stuffed!
I had the same problem. I bought a few cheapo cables from the bay and none of them would work at 120hz. So I bought the 3m version of this cable: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-003-SR
Everything works fine now and I have also been told the OcUK Value cable work fine also...
Hi, Having a bit of a nightmare of recent.
I need to buy a 3 meter Dual Link DVI-D cable. Sounds easy and you would think it would be but apparently not! I have bought 2 so far and none of them work on 120hz!
I have bought a chepo from the bay place and that didn't work. Worked fine at 60hz...
Long shot but, did you build the sytem first to try before you placed it in a case? Only asking as it sounds like an issue I had a few months ago. It turned out to be his motherboard shorting out on the case. Worked fine when tested on work bench, then when installed and screwed in it was on for...
I was thinking of buying another Logitech but the only thing I don't like about them is they feel a bit bloated or bulgey on top. Do you know what I mean? a bit too much of a bump on top. Thought I might try something a bit flatter. Does that make sense :)
Nah, think the Mamba is way too over priced. I know the other are expensive but that is way too much for a mouse.
Anybody got any first hand experience with either of the RAT 9 or Gigabyte M8600?
They both have pros and cons, The RAT battery life sucks, the Gigabyte battery also sucks but...
Hey Ho,
Need to buy a new mouse after my old trusty Logitech MX 300 finally gave up and packed for silicon heaven.
Budget is £85
It must be wireless! Can't stand wires!
The two I have in my head aleady are:
Cyborg RAT 9 or Gigabyte M8600
Can anybody suggest a better option?
Longshot but in the TriDef control panel, is the display on the corect setting?
I had trouble at first aswell, it turned out my display type was set to Automatic detection and it was on the wrong display type.
