    Massive Car insurance costs?

My Admiral insurance renewal has gone up nearly £200. Aviva are nearly £200 less than what I paid last year (which is roughly what I expected it should be, considering I have another years no claims). So bye bye to a 20 year odd Admiral customer.

    **The Mental Health Thread**

It's never easy to try and cope with Anxiety, let alone when someone who has pretty much acted as someone to talk openly to is suddenly not available. Do you have anyone else support wise you can reach out to? I find that when my Anxiety comes back round I have to really force myself to get up...

Should smart phones be banned for under 16s?

Amazed I managed to survive primary and secondary school without a phone. I got the train / bus to school through my whole secondary school time. If bus was cancelled / late then I walked. If Train was late, I got the bus.. etc. Parents only worried if I was hours late home. I got drenched...

    Chinese cars

Yes of course, but it seemed from the reports it was rather a big problem. Tesla are also having huge problems with the stupid Cybertruck. I've had German cars for the last 20 years, aside from wear and tear I've had nothing major, certainly not rust and no major software issues. At heart I...

Or apparently (as many articles shown earlier in this thread have shown), rather poor build quality and QC.

How much has your council tax gone up this year?

5% last year and 5% this year. Luckily I'm a single person household so I get a chunky discount. About the only thing good us single folks get that is good.

That's fine though. Don't pressure yourself. You have to tell people what you HAVE felt, not just how you feel at any one point. What I have is health Anxiety and generalised Anxiety.. if gives you obvious symptoms and it's all explainable (despite being incredibly hard for me to get my head...

    **The Mental Health Thread**

For those of you struggling with Anxiety, I've been through the mill of it the last year. A bit of a quick explanation what happened to me and what I've done and found to try and get over it, maybe something helps someone. I've always been a worrier all my life and struggled with being very shy...

    National insurance cut

Government debt repayments, government bad choices on what it's spending it's money on, corruption, flat out fraud, bad management. That's just this government. The problems go backmore than a decade. We have a higher population right now than ever before but also the highest amount of tax...

Images of items I have purchased (except trainers)

Does the far right and far left handle (winders) raise and lower the tray with the Charcoal? If they do, then this bbq is very similar to one I had in Germany (design is near identical). After a few grill's the heat damaged the winder mechanism and it fell mid way through a BBQ. Was a...

    National insurance cut

According to many people that's not the case today with Labour. Some say they offer nothing different and are Tory lite. Others like me who understand most of the UK are centrists don't think it is the case and it's not just policy differences that matters, its competence. To some degree...

    National insurance cut

Labour have said many times that to fund the country long term the economy needs to grow. Something which this government has failed to do to any meaningful level in 14 odd years. GDP per capita is pathetic, general productivity is pathetic, living standards - falling and in some cases lower...

    National insurance cut

Yes in combination with the fact everything in this country is broken. I.e where's it all going, how can it be justified, what lead / what are the reasons for it all? That's rhetorical by the way, I know the answers. Govt doesn't care what Labour says On day one of an incoming government...

    Recommend me some EarBuds?

I've got the Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds II - Sound is very, very good. Battery life is good. Fit - not bad but I haven't got it right yet and they often fall out when moving around a lot - probably my fault. Good app! If I got the fit right I'd highly recommend them.

    National insurance cut

Would rather NHS trusts were not declaring an emergency every weekend, having to wait hours and hours for ambulances, drug shortages, waiting months and months for operations (which is why we have so many people out of work.. so not contributing to taxes) and getting some of the roads fixed...

    Gardening basics

I built a raised bed last year in my parents garden and put on top two of these: https://www.diy.com/departments/wooden-framed-polycarbonate-coldframe/5060266599064_BQ.prd It works great and we started off all our peppers, tomatoes and leaks in them. When they are big enough we just planted...

Are other bands prices just as high these days? Honestly been years since I last went and saw anyone and I was rather suprised. Only paid it as I've never seen them and may never again so.. Is at the new Manchester CO-Op Area which will be interesting to see what it's like. Other option was...
