I just got mine a few days ago. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the condition as there are almost no scratches on it, you can hardly tell it isn't brand new. I imagine it could be luck of the draw with that though.

Whenever a bill comes up that makes it uneconomical to repair probably. Trouble is knowing when that is going to happen I suppose.

I suppose it doesn't really. I was thinking in terms of it being a lost cost when it comes to selling compared to a higher value car where buyers would actually pay more for it to be working.

The air conditioning on my 2010 Peugeot 308 has stopped working, unfortunately the condenser is leaking so have been quoted £280 to replace it and regas. Two questions: 1) Is that a fair price? 2) Do you consider it to be worth fixing at that cost? It's getting quite warm now so it would be nice...

Thanks for the responses, just checked the coolant and it's empty (oops). The engine temperature sensor does seem to work but it never gets too hot surprisingly, probably just because it's cold that it hasn't overheated yet :p Needless to say, I will be buying some tomorrow and topping it up...

The heater on my Peugeot 308 seems to be broken, the fans only blow cold air. Are there any simple and cheap things I can do to fix this or is it a job for a garage?

Yeah, I think I'll try playing around with the position some more to get a better view. Moving it to the left will make it more obvious from outside and mean it'll be visible on the windscreen by the driver which I would like to avoid if possible. I might try mounting it off the mirror instead...

I got my Vantrue N1 a few days ago so I've been playing around with it (still need to tidy up the cables a bit more). Annoyingly however the best location for it (so that it is hidden by the rear view mirror from the driver's view) means the dash cam view is partially obscured as shown below...

Just bought one of these too, I was looking at getting the Rexing V1 because it is discreet and cheap but that doesn't have a parking mode like the N1.

I definitely should have saved up more money, I can see $6m is going to go very fast!
