Might be more scatty than the desktop Intel chips but not the HEDT x299 lot - my i7 7820X is all over the place voltage wise (Turbo boost 3.0 doesn't help to reduce the scattiness).
Corsair void pro headphones for gaming, soundblaster katana for gaming without headphones and normally listen to music through my Marantz NR1509. I also have a redundant Soundblaster Z installed.
My current hardware is eating through WU's at a pace - I could easier double the total points I had from when I ran this years ago (99 WUs 40,000 points) from the WUs I can do in 2 days (first 2 WUs = 16,000). The dual W5130 Xeon with Nvidia quadro 3500 was pretty good workstation in its day.
We need a table to list the "from" and "to"s for everyone so we can get a general concensus :)
My example:
From (in 2012) - i7 3770 non-k: to (in 2018) - i7 7820X
(I suspect I may have been one of the few to go Skylake-X - but I got a good deal honest).
Intel's 10nm problem is now pretty much of their own making - the 14nm (++++++ erm +?) has matured nicely to allow for pretty insane base clock speeds so much so that anything produced on 10nm is struggling to compete. Who will buy an intel 10nm desktop chip if it only matches performance of...
A lot of GPU for the money - I was tempted even though I have no use for it. My nephew is playing everything he wants with my old 3770 and RX570 so you'll be good to go on anything that doesn't need more than 4 threads.

Slightly pricier but 31% off for black friday - comes with fans pre-installed.
Have you checked the recycle bin? It sounds like you may have only deleted the user folders and personalised settings. Rebuilding this if it isn't in your recycle bin may be problematic (the installed programs are still on your PC but the personalised bit (.ini and other files) have been...
Do you have the "Killer" network app installed? If so deactivate "Advanced Stream Detect" as I have found this to cause all many of problems. Other suggestion - change your network cables (a damaged cable will cause packet loss).
I put together a 3770 with 12 GB and put in an RX570 4GB for my nephew - for 1080p it flies and is pretty quiet as well. It helps the 570 came with 2 games I wanted so at £110 it effectively cost me £20. I used to have a 970 in the same machine (a friend "borrowed" it when his gpu died) and to...
I bit the bullet last year (when GPU prices were insane) ended up with a good deal on an i7-7820X and 1080Ti as a whole machine replacement from my 3770 and 970 combination. Do I regret getting an 8c16t intel that can also heat my entire house with only a mild overclock (damn those skylake x...
Division 2 (or 1 for that matter) are probably not the best to test for system stability. I've have random crashes from these two games (more so than any others) and yet the system is solid for everything else.
Still running a Q8200 with intel GMA G45 graphics as an HTPC (Linux Mint) . Sometimes get a little stutter on full HD but 720p plays fine (did have an Ati HD7750 in there but it died).
If the itch to upgrade isn't too bad now than wait to see what AMD release later this year (even if you still end up going intel) . I upgraded from a 3770 based system in January last year to a 7820X and whilst there is a significant difference, whether or not it was worth it is a personal...
