looking to replace several decade old hp microservers and consolidate with an unraid setup. looking for advice on cheapish mobo, cpu, ram setup that will give me enough grunt going forward to store and serve mainly films and tv episodes. not sure if unraid does bitorrent clients but this would...
had 1 replaced by autoglass - great job but only stress was i wasnt sure when booking it that they knew it was a heated screen, fortunately they did, presumably from the reg at booking
I'm stuck with whatever Halfords sells in store as stuff like these with lithium batteries in them aren't shipped across to NI by air, most retailers won't ship them here
another basic question i need help with - if i put the superhub5 into modem mode i connect to it via 192.168.100.1 which i understand, but what ip address do i use to login into my fritzbox router? is it the default it ships with (192.168.178.1) or will it be something different like the...
does that mean the fritzbox will be controlling dhcp rather than the superhub?
edit / i have a ubiquiti network for the wireless side of things i want to keep using, just can't workout how to use superhub 5 with pihole without sticking the fritzbox in to control dhcp and dns as you can't...
looking to set my superhub 5 into modem mode and use a fritzbox 7530 as a router (mainly so i can setup dns/dhcp for using my pihole)
what network settings do i need to put into the fritzbox whenever the sh5 is in modem mode (192.168.100.1)?
i.e ip address, default gateway, network mask, dns...
Need some help, fibre install from virgin tomorrow. I believe the superhub uses 192.168.0.1, but my home network has been using 192.168.1.1 and I don't want to have to take down and manually reset my wireless cameras to the .0.1 subnet. Is it straightforward to change the subnet to use...
OBD11 is useful for VAG cars and cheaper than VAGCOM. i have used it on my 2016 octavia for a whole host of things including enabling high beam assist and cornering foglights which would have cost hundreds if specced at the time I bought the car. Other stuff i have tweaked includes turning off...
slightly stupid question - a drive has died in my microserver - in the bios startup it is ahci 4, and when i look in windows disk manager it is disk 4. I think i have 6 drives in the microserver, does disk 4 in bios/windows relate to bay4 of the HP? don't want to pull the wrong drive!
lol - if you have ever been in one its 85 ish tops, 90 or so downhill. different in a RRV (rapid response vehicle) like an octavia scout, but you don't take folk to hospital in those usually, only go to them....
cheers - that is what i thought but had a sudden dread i couldn't as when i setup the deco mesh i turned off the wifi and removed the aerials from my draytek router, and i can't mind where i put them!
another really stupid question - i plan to disconnect my existing deco mesh system then powerup the first u6lite i have installed. Does the u6lite need to connect to an existing wireless network (which i won't have) or will it let me setup a new wifi network from scratch?
thanks for the advice above - i have ordered 3x u6-lite and a poe+ switch so am looking forward to better wifi around the house and garden.
does mounting them horizontally or vertically make a significant difference in coverage?
