If I needed to scratch an upgrade itch... Then this would be the card of choice for sure!
Currently though, I'm not overly itchy... ;).... *Scratches leg...*
SLI Titan X's on 40" 4K monitor here...
Will be skipping the next gen (or even two) of cards I think as my setup runs well enough at ultra settings and looks stunning! Definitely better image quality in games than my 1440p monitor and I haven't used my 1080p monitor for over a year...
4K...
Most seem to be shouting for 8GB/12GB...
What's the betting these are some of the same folk who called the Titan X's 12GB complete overkill when they first came out??? :D
What price do you think the first Bluray players came out as? £50??? :D
This is a comparable price to past evolutions... Discs too...
I remember the first release of DVD... All-in-one Sony DVD system was £700 and the DVD's were up to £40 each! :D
They sold like hot-cakes at the time...
I got my 100" electric tab tensioned screen for £100, installed it all by myself with some clever ingenuity (two chairs and the original packaging box to prop one end up with whilst attaching it with proper wall screw fittings) and only had to plug it in to a power point...
Totally worth it in...
Samsung have already released a 4k/UHD bluray player at $400...

4k bluray has started and it will stay around for some time I guess as 8k...
I tried using a grey projector screen once with my Optoma HD33... Hated it!
The blacks may improve but to massive loss of color vibrancy IMO...
Matte white screen works best for me personally! ;)
Had the same problem with the latest Nvidia Just Cause3 gameready driver updates...
I had to roll back to 358.50 due to the game being completely unplayable from stuttering problems...
I do know mate but that's not how he said it...
I have 1080p, 1440p and 4k monitors and not only understand their differences but can physically view their differences with my own eyes...
By his recogning... All this time running 2x 1080p mointors side by side with another 2 more on top and...
What he said was...
1080p resolution no matter what the size is not the same as 2160p resolution!
What he was saying is that 1080p resolution in a bigger size is comparable to 2160p resolution in that same size...
That's simply not true...
Put a 60" 4k TV next to a 60" 1080p TV... The...
No its not! :D
That would just be a larger sized monitor but still at 1080p resolution! ;)
You must think stacking 4 40" HD TV's would give you an 80" 4k telly???
^^Great! What time is Lars And The Real Girl playing on demand?...
Its not available on demand?... Oh?... I guess I'll just watch my Blu-ray copy then... ;)
