    LG 38GL950, 38GN950 and 38WN95C

I've gone for WN, just waiting for OC to confirm I can collect.... My logic is that 144hz is fine (I have a 160hz Predator right now but rarely game), I don't want the noise of the G-Sync module fan, don't need the pretty lights, and prefer the design of the frame/stand which matches most of my...

    LG 38GL950, 38GN950 and 38WN95C

So clearly these three monitors share the same 38" panel. I've tried comparing the differences between them but LG, nor Overclockers, are consistent with specification which makes it a harder task that it needs to be. Is this a correct summary if the differences: 38GL950 - Flagship 'gaming'...

    LG 34GN850-B 34" 3440X1440 NANO IPS 160HZ 1MS FREESYNC/G-SYNC

Investigating further, I may go for the 38" version instead lol (38GL950)

    LG 34GN850-B 34" 3440X1440 NANO IPS 160HZ 1MS FREESYNC/G-SYNC

So I don't really contribute to the forum (unless I need help...sorry), but I thought I'd stick my head up and say I'll be buying one of these (albeit debating whether to buy from Overclockers versus elsewhere for ease of returns). The reason being that I want a ultrawide monitor, with IPS...

First time overclocking; speeds, ram, cooling

I'm using the AIO fan cable to connect both fans to. I seem to be only able to control the one fan, and both run at the same speed set by that one. Doesn't seem to cause an issue to be honest, just like to be able to control everything.

First time overclocking; speeds, ram, cooling

So the AIO has 4 cables, the Link USB, the sata, the connector for CPU_FAN and the piggy back lead that connects both fans; that is what I have as my setup. I can't see both fans in Link, not unless one is marked as "H115i Fan" and the other as "MB Fan #2" which is the only one I can figure out...

First time overclocking; speeds, ram, cooling

Thanks for the reply. OK so since my post, I've installed Corsair Link and the pump and fan is showing. I can control the speed of the fan (custom) and have set the pump to 'quiet' as 'performance' is too noisy for day to day. I've found that Corsair Link cannot manage my PWM case fans, but they...

First time overclocking; speeds, ram, cooling

Haven't built a PC in a few years, really enjoyed it, but not so much the setup afterwards, tweaking etc. I have a Asus Maximum X Hero board with 8700k CPU, 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4 3,600 ram. All setup, I've run the basic bios overclocking option to ramp up 29% at 4.8 (voltage 1.1); it was quite...

    Looking for a dashlane referral

Ignore, sorted now, thank! If anyone using dashlane would like to refer me, please provide a url for me to sign up by. I believe the benefits to both parties are pretty good, so worthwhile. I'll use the first url posted (as long as the member has been registered at least a year and isn't a...

8Packs no BS testing Intel 8700K and Z370 with Delid 5ghz and above available from OCUK.

Thanks, I have a retail one on pre-order; wouldn't know what to do with a 'binned' version :D

8Packs no BS testing Intel 8700K and Z370 with Delid 5ghz and above available from OCUK.

@8 Pack You might want to know that on your specific page (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/8pack), all the links to 'hardware', 'bundles' etc have no url's, so just revert back to the same page. Makes finding your products harder. Fingers crossed you get more 8700k's in stock soon. The wait is...

    i7-7700k or wait for i8-8700K

Overclockers still showing stock on the 1st November, but other places now showing the 8th and 15th, so it is anyone's guess!

    New PC required to last

Good points and I may have returned the AIO and gone for air cooling if it wasn't for already setting up the majority of the case, which won't fit one (a few mm too short). I'll see how it goes with the H115i; just got to wait for the damn 8700k to be released (again), dates elsewhere are...

    i7-7700k or wait for i8-8700K

Jumping on this thread, is stock likely on the 1st November as stated by OC, or will this be a very low quantity supply? Wondering whether I should wait too, not because I need the PC now, but because I'm impatient :D

More CFM and MM/H20 through H115i?

Anyone know whether this would be an acceptable solution?

    New PC required to last

Probably the Asus Maximus X Hero as I'm familiar with the Hero boards and never let me down, but I've zero experience with controlling fans, they've always been powered by the board using 2 or 3 pin, so just maximum at all times. Am tempted by some high speed's for my H115i cpu cooler, though...

    New PC required to last

hehe, I have a silent wings 3 140mm going in the top, and a 120mm going in the back. Granted they are more pressure flow than air flow, but their figures suggest they are equally as good at both. Have PWM of course so hopefully the motherboard will be able to manage through Corsair Link.

    New PC required to last

Pretty much yes, I'm just waiting for stock of the 8700k before I commit to the motherboard also. The rest is as good as in place waiting now. I've replaced case fans with be quiet! fans as I'm familiar with the brand and really like how efficient they are; I might do similar with the H115i fans...

More CFM and MM/H20 through H115i?

The stock H115i fans produce 49.5 CFM and 1.17 MM/H20 of pressure. Would replacing with 77.5 CFM and 2.16 MM/H20 of similar RPM (and noise) actually have any benefit in CPU temperature, or does it really not make much difference? The mounting is on the front of a case, with the fans pushing...

Silence a Corsair H115i water cooler

Rethinking on this, it would appear that swapping out for SilentWings 3 PWM wouldn't be enough, as they would be front mounted in a restricted case, so air-flow is less important than pressure-flow. In which case, they'd offer less MM/H20, but the 'high speed' option would offer significantly...
