Yeah it's simply to that the stickers are of the same quality as happy meal toys (probably worse).
It's a nice idea, if only they had spent like $0.05 per unit on better stickers :(
IV only seen pictures of asrock boards with the sticker
Yeah I'm also getting some plastic toothpicks and some alcohol wipes.
I'm sure it will clean up anyway but hella annoying anyway.
Can see ocuk getting some RMAs for sticker glue I'm ram slots
I ordered a 7950X and motherboard in separate orders (9min apart). My motherboard shipped about an hour ago, so I'd imagine they will ship the CPUs very soon
This is a very good point, ideally they would all be marketed as Adaptive Sync (and maybe shown as "validated" in the specs for FreeSync / GSync), in reality FreeSync and GSync are both vendor implementations of VESA Adaptive sync.
To be totally fair I have used freesync from very early on in its adoption (got the 1st series of 144hz ips monitors with it enabled) and never seen any flicker issues (outside of really odd game compatibility ..... Fallout 4). But then again thats always been on AMD cards.
I used https://distill.io/ to check a the normal places for changes to their product listing, only works if you at a PC all day (I am for work) but its probably one of the fastest notification methods.
It matters when consumer tech makes use of the standard (read Xbox / PlayStation) monitor / TV manufacturers will implement adaptive sync (as its free to them) but will probably not pay Nvidia to support GSync. Its all about compatibility :)
Its the other way round, Nvidia has "re branded" as "gsync compatible", they enabled the use of VESA adaptive sync enabled monitors (freesync monitors) and just called it gsync.
DLSS has the same issue as GSync and i think it will end in same way.
Its a closed system and the industry tends to move to generic / standard implementations (however slowly). See Adaptive Sync (FreeSync) and Vulkan (mantle)
I really wish AMD would start shipping to the UK from the direct shop again, was hoping to find a ref 6800/6900XT to put a water block on. The Merc 319 6800XT i have is amazing but the water block is really hard to find
