I feel vindicated now when I got my crosshair hero 6 and 1700 as part of a deal way back. After the usual 4 cores is all you need crap that was posted. Currently my motherboard supports with a bios update all the new CPUs. And I have my fingers crossed that whatever new CPU's come out this year...
I was under the impression this card will be on 7NM+ too. I am going to predict that the re-brands will be Radeon RX 6000 and the RDNA 2 cards will be Radeon RT 6000.
And the secondhand parts are going to get even better post ampere/RDNA2. All those 1080ti holdouts with have something to upgrade to, and those 2080ti owners are going to be having a hard time selling their cards for anything near what they paid for them. And any card without hardware...

I suspect we wont see new 7nm Nvidia consumer cards until very late in the year if at all this year, datacenter cards that can be sold for huge margins yes and OEM 7nm gpus because of power draw likely too.
I don't see this coming out 2020, I think AMD will need the capacity for game consoles. When the main line Ryzen processor chiplets move on to 5nm. Maybe then I think we shall see large GPU's from AMD. A whole new line with RT from the top of the stack down. I don't think Nvidia will be putting...
And AMD pulls out the 16 core variant.... If they really needed the gaming crown they could just move some of the better chiplets on to AM4. At a latter date that should be able to clock higher on a limited run.
How exactly do you know at this launch is not just getting rid of defunct instinct dies? That's what it looks like to me. Navi will likely come to the PS5 this Christmas, and it's highly probable that the worst Navi dies will be married to lower end Ryzen 3 Apus before the PS5 launch. The same...
Or maybe wafers are needed for the CPU chiplets, and this card is just a way of offloading left over 7nn Vega. Why announce Navi when it's going to be announced latter in the year. As part of the new PlayStation and kill any chance shifting old stock. Navi for PC will be announced and launched...
Love it until it stops working and blue screens my PC, was working fine until the first blue screen managed to drain a full power bank.
Now every 10 mins I get blue screen DCP_WATCHDOG-VIOLATION. Looks like their isnt a fix (nor will there be one forthcoming I guess).
Mine is coming tomorrow lets see if it works.... I think you can use a cheap powerbank, it must be a fast charge one.
Anker PowerCore Speed 10000 (it looks the same as the one you get with it).
