That's good to know. Fractal responded to my email regarding the 804 brackets. They are willing to ship hdd adapters foc but was warned it could take up to 2 months. :eek:

Are they secure with only two screws or did you have to modify the cage? I currently use the 304 and getting in and doing anything drive related is a pain. I can imagine the 804 is the same.

Perfect. Found it. 3 fans and his hottest drive was roughly <10 degrees above ambient, top closed. Little peeved at having to buy additional brackets but going to pull the trigger anyway ;) Thanks for the help.

Settled on the Node 804 as a NAS enclosure but it seems to have HDD mounting issues with large capacity drives :rolleyes: Anyone stuffed the R6 full of HDD's yet? Keen to hear drive temps; hoping they can remain cool with fans at low(ish) rpm.

If you can live without RGB you could always grab a Unicomp keyboard which use the same buckling spring switch as your old Model M.

Thanks, will take a look. I use a fingertip grip so was hoping the smaller size of the G Pro would suit me better as I find I hold the FK1 half way down and it can get fatiguing swiping it around after a while.

Currently using an FK1 but tempted to switch to the G Pro when it is released.

Completely agree with the above. I am assuming the X2's are your only cans? If so, with that budget, I seriously suggest you sell the X2's, buy a cheap amp/dac like the Schiit Magni/Modi and spend the bulk on some top tier headphones like Audeze LCD2's. Spending that amount on amplification...

Here is my humble attempt. It was my first time watercooling and I am delighted in didn't end in tears tbh. Did have a slight panic when my cpu was idling at 70 degrees, only to realise my pump wasn't running. Excuse the potato quality.

I'm exactly the same as you, gave it a go on release and is now the only game I play; love it. Only downside is the lack of maps, although the steam workshop should fix that. There is talk of the old mod map Sinjar being released next week though along with a few other bits and bobs so...
