Thanks, yes I think that's possibly the cheapest set-up I can get, GPUs seem to be expensive in general at the moment, and stock hard to come by. This is why I was thinking of the Hades instead.
I should mention the PC is for general use and a bit of gaming - nothing overly involved, me and the kids play
Minecraft
Cities Skylines
Football Manager
Fortnite
Plus random indie games off Steam...
Cheers

I'm looking at a SFF gaming PC, games won't be anything in the AAA category, me and the kids mostly play:
Cities Skylines
Football Manager
Minecraft
Fortnite
I want a small PC, have looked at speccing a self build mini itx, and can get to the circa £700 mark with a Zotac mini 4gb...
Thanks. I couldn’t get the 3200g, so I went with a second hand 2200g for £40.
RAM I wasn’t sure of, never used laptop ram before, so bought some 2666 crucial using their compatibility checker.
All in all it’s cost £220. When stock levels return and prices settle I may upgrade to the 3200g.
Only just discovered this thread, posted in GD...
I'm thinking of a v light gaming build for my 8 year old, rest would be you tube and school work. Was looking at the A300 + a 3200g, with m.2 wi-fi and RAM coming in at around £250ish (I have SSDs kicking around).
1. Will it work with the...
Morning all - I'm looking at a cheap, small light gaming build for my 8 year old. Don't have loads of money to throw at it but was thinking about buying one of the above barebones, and adding a Ryzen APU in.
Anyone any experience / advice / alternative. My budget is as close to £200 as...
Afternoon all
My 8 year old wants a PC (very light gaming and mostly youtube / school work) and I picked up an old Dell Optiplex 790 a while ago.
I'm not really interested in using any of the parts, just wondered if I could re-use the case and what would fit into it - I assume someone has...
Evening
I'm trying to build a semi decent gaming PC on a modest budget, It'll be Mini ITX as I have a case kicking round, but want to try and squeeze as much as I can out of my circa £400 budget.
Was looking at pre-owned MSI RX 580's and wondered what a sensible price to pay would be as they...
Evening all - planning a new build, light touch gaming PC that I hope will last me a while.
My basket at Overclockers UK: 1 x Gigabyte B450-I AORUS PRO WIFI (Socket AM4) Mini-ITX Motherboard= £115.99 1 x Team Group Dark T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit -...
Yeah, on that budget I just don't see how I can better it (other than second hand). I can see how the graphics perform and add a card later if needed, and I know the CPU performance isn't as good as I could get for the same money, but seems if I needed to next year I could upgrade to the 3600 if...
Yeah this is the perpetual debate in my head, I suppose if I went 3400g as a start I could add a card later. Tough decision, I'm not always 100% comfortable buying second hand, hard to know who to buy from.
Afternoon all
I've been getting by with my macbook for a while (not gaming) so am about to build a new, but budget, gaming PC.
Only games in the house we really play are Minecraft, Football Manager and a few other random steam titles, Darkest Dungeon and Motorsport manager.
I only have £500...
I'm working on a build (will be waiting to see what can be had in the Jan sales) but am settled on a Mini-ITX (I already have the case).
I'm going with the Ryzen 5 2600 and having looked around the 3 leading candidates for my board are..
1. ASROCK B450 GAMING-ITX/AC
2. MSI B450I GAMING PLUS AC...
