Not sure what CPU is the best for gaming? PCGH has you covered

If anyone want to see how those CPU really fair in games without purposely being gimped then you only need to look at Gamers Nexus benchmark where even 10600K can challenge 10900K. *remember that AMD CPU's basically comes factory overclocked to the max and can't really be overclocked any...

I came across this video on tube and I'm thinking it's one of those fake numbers video surely, but would be thankful if someone with a nice heart and 4 dimms can test a few games and confirm my suspicion. Thanks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDKzCsC9Svs

    I love my PC, but.............

We tend to forgive consoles for extremely high input delay, insane amount of blur, just because they're consoles they're very cheap.

    I love my PC, but.............

but...... you can connect your PC to the same TV and that Horizon 4 game will look so much better at native 4K 60 fps than compared to 1080p 60 or 4K 30fps on xbox1x.

    Is GSync important?

@Kelt so you put up with that horrendous v-sync lag having G-sync monitor? Why? Cap your framerate below max refresh rate with RTSS and have that dreadfull v-sync always off. The beauty of G-sync is that you can limit your framerate to any number as long as it's below max refresh and still...

    Is GSync important?

I feel like RivaTuner frame cap [comes with afterburner] + Gsync is a match made in heaven. :D

    Is GSync important?

Nah you force v-sync off in nvidia control panel and forget about it. Don't take my word - test it yourself.

    Now have a 1080Ti - 1440p with GSync or 4k @ 60Hz?

Definitely 2560x1440 High refresh G-Sync. [keep in mind Total war: warhammer or any games that have bad drops will not do too well with gsync, so you'll either have to either lock fps to 60 or turn off gsync]

    Is GSync important?

^ Why wouldn't you use gsync, if you can get locked 120hz? It eliminates tearing and is just as smooth as vsync off, but will obviously looks so much better. Gsync is effortless. Enable G-sync and have V-sync off in nvidia control panel. That way you never need to worry about vsync...

    Is GSync important?

45 fps locked G-sync input feels like 60 fps V-sync. [and that's assuming you'll never drop below 60 fps with v-sync]

    Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

That's a good find at that price. You know well that even with Ryzen cpu [easily capable of 60fps] in ps5 devs will still target 30fps, so that it can come close to pc visuals in multiplats. I do admit that difference is very small in most games in graphics unless you put them side by side -...

    Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Oh the glorious unresponsive blurry mess 30fps! Literally unbearable for most pc players. The only reason playstation is still a thing is exclusives. Thanks MS for bringing xbox games to pc, so we don't have to suffer xbox1x as well.

    Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Does he really think all this talk will convince me or others to pay 50% more for only 25% more performance... I member when a top card 6950 could be unlocked and overclocked to 6970 and you got a top of the line card for $300. Now its 3 times that. What happened to new cards being perf/price...

    2080 vs 1080Ti ~ 1080Ti a better card?

Easily, RTX 2080, similar price with 2080 launching maybe 75-100 cheaper while being ~20%? faster. [looking at history 980ti to 1080. You can safely bet it's gonna be very similar increase in perf. Nvidia specifically targets that, so it looks attractive for Ti owners]

Are we not getting any 2,560 x 1,440 HDR Monitors?

It's very disappointing that HDR Gsync is skipping an ideal currently size/res spec screens for gaming - 27" 144Hz WQHD. I'm aware of those freesync wqhd 'not really' hdr screens, but I'm on nvidia.

    1440p on 24-25" experiences

Yeah, there's many sites that shows PPI quickly like this here: https://www.sven.de/dpi/ [just click on res and size on right hand side, you don't have to type anything] 24" 1920x1080 = 91,8 27" 2560x1440 = 108,8 So it's a nice upgrade in density, but still not too small to read.
