Just renewed my wife’s car insurance for her, and me as named driver…. Only £10 more than last year through same companies renewal service and approx £50 cheaper than lowest online search. Not sure exactly how we lucked out to achieve that but bonus for us!

Ref home chargers…… I’ve got an old type 1 charge master 7kw charger from an outlander phev from 4 years back! New i4 arriving end of next week. I can charge a work for free, and in office twice a week so that will cover the majority of my charging, but will need to top up at home sometimes...

Peak energy use is during the day when everyone awake, commerce and industry all 100% working. Over night there is spare capacity as a lot of the above isn’t happening, and that will nicely tie into when majority of people will be charging cars.
