I have got back into vinyl over the past few years and can honestly say I enjoy it. I got rid of all my cd's a number of years ago when my Cyrus 6CD player went bung- I had ripped them all into both FLAC and Apple lossless and I can stream to my system over network as well as using Tidal...
9900K for 3 years then 7950X since last year- will probably be my last significant upgrade as also has RTX4090 so cant see much improvements in next 5 or so years, by then I think I will be too old to even worry about it
Anyone know of any ram that will fit fully under the Dark Rock Elite cooler without having to raise the front fan? I belive the clearence is 32mm? RGB would be nice but not desperate. THanks
I have recently moved from a Synology to Unraid and could not have been happier. Able to use previous pc hardware, able to add further storage and easy redundancy to boot
Im looking for fans- 2x140mm, with rgb being used for intake fans on the bottom of a Fractal Torrent case plus a rear 120mm exhaust. This is for a build for my daughter- it currently has sone noctua fans and some old coolermaster light ring thingies on the fans but none of them match in colour...
Previously ran custom loops for more than 10 years but at last platform upgrade, went back to air and loving the simplicity. Noise level also lower I feel as well.
I have recently moved from a Synology 4 bay to an Unraid self build using an older pc I had lying dormant and have found that for me it is a lot more flexible, simpler and future proofed than the Synology was. I do very much like the Synology DSM and would still not be adversed to using one...
FWIW
I wouldn’t have a drive big enough to use a single drive so would need to use multiple ones- size ranges from 2ishTB for work files, 8TBish for Music files, much the same for Movies and maybe double for TV shows- fer too much I know
My office pc is also not really large enough to fit in...
I’m being asked by a relative if this is possible:
Home office with 1xpc, 1x Mac mini constant use daily.
Could a separate small Windows based pc be used as an effective NAS for both
Only needing to share files and media files between the work pc and Mac mini.
Not needing to back up any files-...
As title suggests, need a simple OS got a homemade nas
Simple jbod for multiple sized drives redundancy not needed
Any recommendations please
Aye thang you
