so after much farting about trying to get my new pc to boot on a gigabyte x670 x g ax motherboard (damn you, 2 minute long parity check)
Im now greeted with the bios which is saying the BCLK set at 100.22mhz (sometimes the decimal is different ie 100.43 etc) should this not be at 100mhz by...
Done that after getting it working this morning (already had the usb set up at work last night)
the list of changes on nearly every new release was "improve memory compatibility" so probably worth it.
thanks again
yeeeeah i was worried something was wrong so i switched it off almost straight away everytime.
waited a few minutes and it booted up fine.
thanks guys.
yes i have but i keep getting memory error light.
i feel like the only way to use this memory is to buy slower compatible sticks just so i can enter the bios.
im currently building a system that uses an amd AM5 processor and ddr5 ram on a gigabyte x670 x gaming ax motherboard.
I have a query regarding how to install memory modules that can only be used while the system has been overclocked.
currently im trying to install 64GB (2x32GB) Kingston Fury...
Hello just wondering what is needed to get a system running with the x670 gaming ax and a ryzen 7950x.
the motherboard has 2 x 8 pin connectors for the cpu above where the cpu sits.
the leaflet that came with the board is very vague and just seems to point to putting in either 1 x 8 pin cable...

its a crucial mx200 1tb with mu01 firmware
i can literally run this drive perfectly fine for days on end as long as i dont restart so the drive is clearly working fine.
i noticed one time autocheck came up for the...

My 2600k gets a more or less steady 60fps in...
Just wondering about the perspex cover on the stock cooler that some of these cards seem to have. I had to remove a fingerprint protection sticker off it so i assume the perspex stays on? Just dosnt seem like it has any purpose other than making it look cheap. Probably could have found this out...
Well in my haste i originally ordered a standard evga card, but about 10 days later i changed to an sc one, so from that date i would say its been about 20 days. 30 days total. I was losing my mind.... seriously. Its all down to the suppliers though, ocuk were amazing as usual.
Thanks man,
yeah im being sociable today so the pc is downstairs where there is no lan cable.
The netgear stick is just a backup connection, hehe.
Porting all my HDD's to SSD's anyway so im just really keeping an eye on things.
