    NHS Health Check over 40

Went for mine on Wednesday and just noticed the results on the NHS app. Cholesterol at 6.25 and a few other markers in the red along with high blood pressure. I'm a healthy weight but cant say my diet is the best so I might have to tackle that.

I remember having that experience for the first time. I planned things to do out the house and got plenty of early nights.

    Celebrity Chefs / Cooks

I think I once read he was having an affair with an Aussie for some years before he was rumbled. I generally like his stuff and find him quite calming so I'll give this a watch.

That collection brings back memories as an 80s and 90s child.

Made my 4 year old son a den in the living room yesterday. Thought he went quiet inside, then he appears with underpants filled with Lego bricks and he'd done a slash in a tea cup. The joys

Without central heating on how cold is your home?

I think around 12c in a 1970s end terrace in recent weather. It does heat up fast though as its only a small house.

What have you done to your car today?

Mot'd and serviced I think it deserves a nice wash now.

What bike did you learn to ride on?

I think she'd be fine if I took out a good life insurance policy beforehand

What bike did you learn to ride on?

I learnt to ride offroad at about 13 years old in the mid 90s on an old RM80 a little like the below but mine was well battered and bruised. I would love to get a licence and ride on road but the other half gives me the lecture of "you'll die"

    Games you're playing, and games...

I haven't played infinite though I have it in my library ready to play. I think they once gave it away with Games with Gold.

    Skoda 1.0 Tsi 110 engine

I would be open to that but partner does not want another Hyundai after a bad experience with the local dealer.

    Skoda 1.0 Tsi 110 engine

I've done the same going from my car to the Hyundai. Foot flat down, wait a while and you might hit 20mph soon.

    Skoda 1.0 Tsi 110 engine

Thanks yes I think we will test drive both. Partner is only coming from a 1.2 Hyundai i20 so either will most likely feel faster to her. But I will no doubt drive it every now and then too so we both need to be happy with it.

    Skoda 1.0 Tsi 110 engine

Hi all, looking at cars for my partner and thinking a Skoda Kamiq ticks the boxes. Looking at around a 2022 model and see it comes in a 1.5 and 1.0 110 ps version. At first I was only considering the 1.5 but after reading I've read quite a few positive reviews on the little 1.0. Can anyone...

    **Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Got a puncture this morning, he gets the tyre off and says it can't be repaired as the nail was so close to a previous patch. He did show me and it was within a few inches. All he had was a part worn generic brand to get me on my way :( I'm planning on putting Michelin cross climates on once...

    OcUK Dadsnet thread

Our 4 year old son has been a bit like that lately, pushing the boundaries to see what happens, throwing things etc. If we tell him off he carries on and smiles at us, hard to know what to do. But he has just started pre-school in September and while seems happy also seems to find it challenging...

    Dashcams!

Can anyone recommend some sticky pads that will keep the dashcam on the windscreen? I moved my dashcam to another car so needed to replace. Bought some on eBay which looked good and its lasted a week before the dashcam is on the floor.

    Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

I've just done the same and calculated it will also save around £200 a year. Fuse was next cheapest but didn't want to be stuck with exit fees.
