Did 16.1 resolve the flickering people were experiencing? Release notes state this is fixed: [82900]/[81859] Flickering may be experienced on some monitors when AMD FreeSync™ is enabled

I'm running it at 120Hz on the desktop, because it doesn't really matter anyway and it's the easiest fix. But there are ways to adjust the 2D clocks on 144Hz if it bothers you.

Just try it. You need to experience the smoothness delivered by high framerates and freesync for yourself. Just be sure to use the beta driver and icc profile from PCM. Color reproduction isn't exactly stellar, but that's to be expected from a cheap 144Hz TN. With PCM's icc profile they're ok...

I'm on the latest Crimson driver. What are some games that exhibit obvious flickering? Cause either I haven't played those yet or I'm blind to the effect :)

heh, I feel the opposite way :) IMO the smoothness and the "connected" feel you get when gaming at 100+ fps with freesync is incredible. It's the #1 reason to get this monitor imo. For me the biggest downside to this monitor comes with the picture quality, especially in dark areas. It's like the...

    AOC G2460PF

I've had this monitor for a couple days now. I've only seen some flickering when tabbing out of a game so far. Running at 120Hz. Freesync itself seems to be working fine. Never had it turn off by itself afaik. Though I've noticed that the (freesync) in the OSD doesn't always show up right away...

    AOC G2460PF

This is what it says on the product page now: "FreeSync is capable of working at a refresh rate between 35Hz and 144Hz on this monitor. An official driver will be published on this website in December." Could be a while still.

Anyone try changing the freesync range with CRU? http://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU

I'm seeing listings in the rest of Europe and the US now. Any info on when the new revision will be available?

That's great to hear, thanks for the info. Think I'm back on board :)

    AOC G2460PF

Yeah, importing isn't feasible. AOC added the 48-144Hz freesync range to the product page. So that's fully confirmed at least. Just need info on when the revision will be available.

    AOC G2460PF

Looking forward to your final review with the new revision. Might still pick this up if they get overdrive sorted out. Should be a decent chance to mod freesync to 40-144 at least.

Anyone try the mod to change the freesync range on this monitor?

It's in the video. pcper monitor reviews may not be as in depth as PCM's or tftcentral but they're far from amateurs and determining if freesync and overdrive are working isn't exactly rocket science. Also, Nixeus actually put the freesync range on their spec sheet. The range on the AOC was PR...

It's been tested, works as advertised. Working overdrive mode as well. So it's not like 30-144 freesync is impossible.

    AOC G2460PF

Well this is very disappointing. Based on the specs this monitor checked all the boxes. Freesync only working from 48hz is a dealbreaker though. Any chance you could confirm with AOC that this really is the intended behavior PCM? Thanks for all the info you guys have given in this thread. It...
