    AMD Vega Architechture

Tbh, I don't think that's at all unexpected. Isn't the 1080 314mm^2? But yes I'd expect Vega to be little bigger than that to not be too close to Polaris 10.However, if it has p/w benefits anywhere near that chart they showed l, they could size it closer to polaris and still have a significant...

    Reference 480 or AIB 480?

I don't understand why there are power issues. Can't the card intake a max of 75w + 75w? At the reported 110w used at stock surely there's OC headroom if power is the issue (excluding the actual silicon being unstable at higher voltages). Unless ofc that stock figure is bogus.

    GPU prices

Tbh the non reference FE 1080s can be cheaper, the sc uses to be but went up since EVGA went off the face of the earth. Though blower ones and the inno3d/kfa2/MS I armor custom cards can be has a good deal cheaper. Seems 1070 is worse in this regard, which is far more annoying to me since...

    New to pc games.

If you wait until Wednesday the new RX480 will be released and we should be able to see the performance. The 4GB version may fall within your budget and will probably be a quality card for you. Failing that we should know more about the rx 470 soon too.

    GPU prices

I think you'd be quite surprised at the profit margin of some of these goods if being at 1.37 is a minimal increase.

    GPU prices

To be fair to ocuk people saying the price doesn't go down when the price is up aren't necessarily correct. Some prices actually went down yesterday as the pound was rising recently because bremain went ahead in the polls.

The Pascal GTX 1070 Owners Thread

So gibbo would it be safe to say the next Aero and Reference blower prices will rise to a point that I may just get a FE ASAP ? Will the price rise not be that high/is there an imminent shipment for either of those cards coming it at existing prices? Edit: seen the other thread. Existing...

The GeForce GTX 1080 Is The Best Selling High-End Card Ever Released – AIBs Confirm

Gibbo if the gbp doesn't stabilise instantly how quickly will gpu prices rise through the roof? Edit: Crap wrong thread, but still

Wow a bit of DIY, nice. I can't wait to see how it fares. I have a mini-itx case too and my last exam is on Monday!

Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

No, which is what has me confused.

Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

That gta benchmark is seriously confusing me if legit. Unless the current drivers are actively reducing performance, I would have thought that an rx 480 even without any of the special architectural additions disabled, as a base card would be a bit faster than that. Roll on the NDA lifting.

The Pascal GTX 1070 Owners Thread

I'd honestly be suprised if prices came down that low, I just forsee that in a month they'll be almost/ if not just has high but being sold with more stock available.

While I can't immediately see a motive, you never know what some people may do.

Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

That doesn't disagree at all with what I said  A 390x is faster than a 970. Nobody can be too certain about the performance and price yet though.

Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

I am struggling to believe that they'd put out a £200+ plus 970 speed card. I mean it's not impossible, but still.
