Yeah, I don't particularly need Windows in HDR, I'll just forget to keep turning it on and off when gaming so figured I'd just leave it on. Interestingly that HDR shortcut does not seem to work for me.

Yes, same with notepad, maybe you are on to something. But with HDR switched off, the dimming does not occur.

Also worth noting that with HDR off in Windows settings I do not get the dimming issue, but then of course I don't get the benefit of HDR when gaming because with it switched off it does not switch back on when gaming.

This may not work for you but when I finally upgrade the size of my ultrawide I'll probably make a vesa adaptor plate that will allow me to use 2 cheaper arms instead of 1 much more expensive arm. The movement I require for my use case will work fine with 2 arms.

I did yes, it's showing as all up to date other than 3x optional driver updates so it's not allowing me the option to install W11.
