Hang on, wait. After updating the graphics driver to 551.76 I can tab in and out of Ableton without an issue. Maybe that was all that was needed? I'm sure that's not the end of my screen flickering issues, as I use more games and apps I'm sure i'll find some that give me grief. HAs anyone else...
Windows 10, Nvidia 3090 (Driver 536.23), Monitor = LG Ultragear 45GR95QE-B
After installing the monitor mentioned above I've been experiencing a lot of instances where my screen goes black for a couple of seconds when switching between games, apps, windows, programs or whatever which I guess is...
Yeah, I don't particularly need Windows in HDR, I'll just forget to keep turning it on and off when gaming so figured I'd just leave it on. Interestingly that HDR shortcut does not seem to work for me.
Also worth noting that with HDR off in Windows settings I do not get the dimming issue, but then of course I don't get the benefit of HDR when gaming because with it switched off it does not switch back on when gaming.
Just installed a new HDR monitor and whenever I open Chrome to fullscreen it dims itself, when windowed it's a nice bright white but it's really dull when in fullscreen, any ideas? I'm 90% sure this didn't happen with my old monitor but maybe it did and my new monitor is just so bright that it...
Ok I've not quite nailed it yet. It was working fine but after a reboot it's back to black screen, probably something to do with the order the various softwares are opened or configured or something so I'll try and figure that out. In the meantime if anyone else uses a similar setup and may know...
I'm trying to set up headtracking using a PS3 Eye camera as per (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y00m4B2VDpw&t=230s)
Should be simple enough:
Install PS3 Eye Driver
Install AITrack software
Install Opentrack software
And adjust the very simple settings.
I did that but just got a black screen...
This may not work for you but when I finally upgrade the size of my ultrawide I'll probably make a vesa adaptor plate that will allow me to use 2 cheaper arms instead of 1 much more expensive arm. The movement I require for my use case will work fine with 2 arms.
You are probably right. I took the back cover off of it this morning and the port is a bit wobbly, strangely though I could not replicate the issue while the rear cover was off at all, whereas before with the cover on all I had to do was touch the power plug and that would trigger it.
It looks...
My Predator X34A (21:9 3440x1440 100Hz) monitor is pretty old now but still works really well for me but recently the screen started flickering while I'm sim racing (really not good if racing online!) which I traced back to the power plug/socket being loose so when my steering wheel kicks out a...
I'll take another look but when I went to the webpage it just sent me back to the 'lets see if your pc is compatible" or whatever page and the whole PC health check thing.
My PC seems to be confused:
Initially it told me I needed to enable TPM (PTT on my Asus board) in order to be W11 compatible so I've done that and now it seems that Microsoft isn't isn't quite sure whether or not my PC is compatible or not?
