As the same with any other company. I also agree with in that they estimated too high for the clocks on the card and are now having problems getting a healthy amount of chips to perform in a stable state. My biggest keeping power for this card is the price I got it at on pre-order. If there was...
The issues everyone is talking about are just rumours. Nothing official from ASUS suggesting that there are problems with this card. In fact, a few others targeting a similar boost clock as the Strix are not reporting issues. The card itself is the same as all the others.
To be honest, by...
As much as I am tempted to jump ship (I see the Gaming X in stock from a few places) the price is stomach churning and the only card to get now for the same price is founders edition which I am not keen on because I'm not a fan of the cooling design. Also knowing I can get an OC Strix for the...
Disgraceful from such a big company.
I'm guessing they see how many opt'ed for the £619 pre order and now the price has significantly risen, they are trying to dwindle those numbers down.
Supply issues my backside, they've had over a month to sort this crap out.
Can someone from OCUK provide information on this mysterious Strix OC card? Apart from the 1000 supposedly on for Friday 1st, and not specific as to whether they were the non-OC/OC versions of the GPU we have heard nothing.
This iGPU on my 6700K is hacking me off.
So from my previous posts in this thread, I was away for all of this week with hopes of the OC Strix 1st July "in stock" date. Looks to me this hasn't happened and quite frankly I am getting royally pee'd off.
Is there any news on this other than it should have been in today?
...and I see...
This is pee'ing me off more than the actual waiting for the GPU.
People switching pushing back queues thinking they can snag a card earlier.
If you swap products, you should go straight to the back of the pecking order regardless of whether OcUK have taken your money or not.
I honestly think the majority of cards they are producing at this stage are going to the US. They must think the UK market isn't in demand, especially with all the other manufacturers pushing product out in small amounts.
Places like Reddit have members from the US posting up their EVGA...
I'd wait it out if I was you if you got the pre-order before the price hike. You've made it this far and with them actually getting stock out, you're only a few weeks from potentially having the card.
I'd probably feel angry with myself/pee'd off if I cancelled and got a founders with the...
Welcome to the waiting party.
Apparently, the recent holiday caused zero or very few cards to be produced and that they are somewhat struggling to hit their advertised clocks. Hopefully they've sorted the issues out and things should start picking up.
With the delays I have honestly got...
I'm running on that measly Intel HD 530. Dreadful.
Gibbo has said about 50 in this week, last week I was around the 300 mark in the queue and I ordered on the 31st at 00:31. Hopefully a lot of people have cancelled. :D
I am curious as well to see if some, even if miniscule amount of cards arrive tomorrow. I've been waiting since the 31st and like you I don't want to lose out on the initial price lock now that its gone up.
Probably optimistic but you may see a dispatch email on the 17th depending on whether the statement from Gibbo about Asus redirecting their stock to OcUK is true. I sent a webnote to CS yesterday and got a reply today saying that I was around the 300 mark in the queue. Not an exact figure but I...
You have a gem of a CPU. The i5-750 and i7-920 are still very good chips. I still have an i5-750 kicking about, although not in my current build. Easily reached a stable 4.2GHz. Its about 6 1/2 years old now.
