Anyone else waiting for Ryzen 5000 series laptops?

Saw Dell had 5000-series based laptops available to order the other week, albeit just with the Zen 2 based 5500U and 5700U. Got myself one of the 14" 2-in-1 models and received it today so have taken a look at it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faJpPs0ULqU

    Show Us Your Motors!

Just to note when comparing the boot space/size, the official figures list the boot capacity up to the parcel shelf/cover - eg. completely ignoring the actual extra space in an estate/hatchback vs. a coupe/saloon style bodyshape. Had the same argument with someone when we bought our Octavia vRS...

    Show Us Your Motors!

Ha! :D Elise has a few modifications (S2 Exige seats with 4pt harnesses, stereo removed, Nitrons, etc) but nothing major. V12 Vantage S has the Performance Pack taking it to Vanquish S/GT12 spec with 595bhp, Titanium exhaust and updated to the AMi III infotainment system (originally was AMi II...

    Show Us Your Motors!

They had to take down around 10 meters of fencing to get access to build the garage, so the front section is from 6 years ago, the back I put up myself once the work was done. I should paint it all to match, but there is about 40m of fencing in total and I can't be arsed.

    2005 MR2 Roadster.

Friend got one years ago and was amazed at how little storage it had even compared to my Elise! That looks very nice though.

Building work completed, Elise fixed (brake master cylinder seized when it was in storage) and finally have them all back home.

What have you done to your car today?

Over the weekend, not today, but got the Vantage out for the first time this year. V12 Vantage S by James Thorburn, on Flickr Slightly different driving experience to the runaround! Just 6x more power. V12 Vantage S by James Thorburn, on Flickr Took it over Haynes Motor Museum for the...

    German + Petrol?

Are you really going to look back at a mid-spec A3 as you walk away from it? I'd probably rather have the Fiesta!

    Small SUV type advice

Wouldn't think it would be more practical than a 3-series to be honest. The boot has height, but no depth.

Yes. Drove one in December, could have had delivery in late Feb/early March .

    Small SUV type advice

We tried quite a few different ones (Mazda CX-5, Skoda Karoq/Seat Ateca - basically a Tiguan, BMW X1, Ford Kuga, and a couple others) and I hated every single one of them. Couldn't get on with sitting so high up. Our preference of petrol and manual ruled out a lot of options too. Fortunately...

What have you done to your car today?

Not today, but Silverstone GP track day in the Elise last week. Annoyingly, blew the expansion tank pressure cap and stopped in the first afternoon session. Actually had two spare ones in the boot (pretty much the only spare one I had with me!) so nipped out the circuit to get some de-ionised...

Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

If looking at the Mk6 I wouldn't overlook the Zetec-S. Only 100bhp, but had one as my runaround for the last 3 or so years and it is great. Rides better than the Mk6 ST, great fun to throw around and absolutely cheap as chips to run.

Obviously! 230bhp petrol with a 6-speed manual, as it should be.

What have you done to your car today?

Picked up a new car for the wife to replace her Fiesta ST. Personally never got on with the ST, and with baby on the way needed something more practical. Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Its the fairly pronounced shaping of the lumbar support, and the fact it isn't adjustable. If it suits your spine I'm sure its great, if it doesn't then it is agony. I got into the habit of stuffing a couple coats down to fill in the gap, at which point it was vaguely tolerable, but it has...

Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Yep, 5'10" and 60kg (under 10st). Only car I've struggled with the seats in, ever. Mk6 Fiesta Zetec-S seats are great, my S1 Elise I have the Pro-bax Sports seats from an S2 Exige with 4pt harnesses and drove Inverness to Swindon in them quite happily. The Evoras Sparco seats are great and the...
