    4G connection, Netgear Nighthawk m1/m2

I was set on the Netgear M1 but was put off by the high price and diminishing returns. I've now settled on a Huawei B535 which arrives tomorrow. My new place has ADSL broadband only, so 4G was the only viable alternative. Will let you know how it is...

    Headphones vs Gaming headset

Beyerdynamic DT770/1770 with modmic or clip on mic for me. Every day of the week. Tried same headsets as you and they always suck, especially that whole "yeahhhhhh bro 7.1 surround for da gun fights!! Super accurate!!". Nothing a good stereo setup can't beat.

NZXT RGB Strips with Asus Aura Sync?

Sorry to necro-bump, but has anyone had any further progress on this after looking at the guide given from Reddit above? I'm on the fence about trying to connect it all up using some dupont wires...

    GPU prices go boom

The right to a dividend payment in proportion to the number of shares owned, no matter how small. The right to vote at Annual General Meetings and express approval or disapproval of management teams and structures. The right to information on the company in which you own a share, such as...

    GPU prices go boom

Pretty much sums up my reaction and current state of mind. 6 months ago I would have jumped at a bargain for the old rig, but even now that prices are going down I'm left thinking "Sod it I'll get a PS4 pro". Feels like Nv and their resellers have killed off some of their customer base

    HD650 to 660S worth it?

Strange to see criticism of the HD660S. I grabbed a pair after humming and harring for a few weeks. Was previously on Beyer DT770s, upgrade was either a pair of DT990s or Sennheiser HD650, that was until I heard the HD660S. Absolutely fell in love with them and dropped the £425 on them on...

    GPU prices go boom

That's unfortunate, although I guess you chose to buy in the bubble :D It's a huge packet to splash on a GPU so I'm 50/50! I'd prefer to be paying £500 but hey ho.

    GPU prices go boom

Saw a GTX1080ti go for £600 earlier (used around one year). Anyone think it's worth jumping in at that price?

    1080ti - help please

He didn't say a new PSU, he said he "swapped in" a CX750. At the end, he says "Should I go the whole hog and buy a new PSU". I'd answer yes to that, especially before replacing CPU, RAM, Mobo.

    1080ti - help please

I'd definitely go the new PSU route - It's an odd decision to replace everything else before the PSU? Perhaps try a phat EVGA Supernova 850W or something to be certain?

    GPU prices go boom

Anyone else follow /r/Hardwareswapuk on Reddit? There's a post this morning with mining GTX1080s for just over £400. Looks like some are starting to get spooked and are offloading. The temptation is there but it doesn't offer much over a 980ti.

What’s the most you would pay for a flagship card?

I shudder just looking at people paying £800+ for an xx80/xx80ti. Completely barmy. I don't see any kind of performance boost that could justify that price. Got my 980ti for £300 a couple of years ago, still clinging onto it until mining either dies off or we see a shift in greed.

Asus PG279Q - Worth Getting Now?

Yeah for sure, very lucky! That's fair enough then, little bit of trade in cash always helps out. Yeah, go for it. If you get a goodun they're absolutely gorgeous. Same panel as mine so I can say with confidence you'll love it. I mean, depending on settings it can show its age. Not going to...

Asus PG279Q - Worth Getting Now?

I made the same move around a month or two ago. Went from a Crossover Blacktune 1440p Korean to a PG279Q. Unfortunately got a dud, had a few blotches on it and backlight bleed made the corners yellow. Sent it back for refund, got two XB271HUs (same panel as the ASUS) and an XB271HK instead...

    Triple 27" monitor layout suggestions

So after returning my PG279Q I've gone all out and grabbed myself 2 x XB271HU (27" 1440p) and also a XB271HK (27" 4K). I'm about to purchase a monitor stand for them, but this is my first multi monitor setup so I haven't a clue what the best way to set it up is. What would people suggest? I...

    Ethernet Install in existing house?

Absolutely massive amount of information in the thread I started a while ago, helped me out a tonne. May be worth a read. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/new-house-wiring-rooms-cat5e-vs-cat6-vs-cat7.18790592/

    Titan X pascal

Anyone's guess, I'd say a 1080Ti is better value second hand at around £600.

    PG279Q buyer's regret

Oh no, absolutely not. The 980ti will only be planing old games on the 4K - I'm replaying Oblivion at the moment for example. My concern is more in its ability to play games on one of the 1440p screens while also driving the 4K and 1440p on desktop. Think I'll cancel my headphone upgrade and...

    PG279Q buyer's regret

Cheers bud! I'm worrying my 980ti isn't enough firepower to run the sheer number of pixels involved... Even only gaming on one of the side panels! What dya think?! Might just wait for Volta then grab some mega horsepower!

    PG279Q buyer's regret

Return agreed on the PG279Q. Got a fantastic deal on two XB271HUs, then also a XB271HK. Plan is to run the 4K in the centre of a mount flanked by two 1440p XB271HUs :D
