So weird. I have the Encore and it doesn't do this at stock for me at all.
However, I enabled Overclocking TVB and +2 boost and works a charm, with all the other boxes for Temp and Bin filled out.
x58 all core and x60 two cores setup, giving me a nice little boost and it's fun to see 6.2Ghz at...
I heard that. Seems like it's hit or miss in the UK (mainly miss.)
Some taking the delivery hit and ordering from the US.
Be typical if you got a bad bin doing that though!
I wish the Silicon Lottery site was still running. That was amazing.
Just had another look at this screenshot! 1.483V using AI OC I imagine? Or is it stock?
Results look probably amazing, but that's a lot of voltage! Even if it is adaptive voltage, I am trying to get max core clocks and gaming performance with the least amount of voltage.
Edit: @momo56 I should...
Will have another look in the BIOS when I get a chance.
Pretty certain that mine has everything on Auto as your picture shows, but mine shows whatever current clocks are on the left but nothing in the Temp or Bin columns.
Just trying for a good overclock really with minimum effort and voltage...
The Apex Encore. AI OC predicted 1.425v originally for x58 all core. It also predicts 1.477v x59 all core.
Have not tried TVB yet and it doesn’t seem to be enabled stock for my board. I didn’t touch it yet as I read that some people had issues with it. Have you got any further info that might...
Thought I would share a little overclocking test I did recently to try and replicate 8packs results in the bundle they sell on OCUK:

HWInfo64 after a gaming load and the CPU...
Is that 5.7Ghz +2 over stock? Not quite as familiar with that processor.
Yes, I imagine that is the case that the AI is going for stability rather than being conservative with voltage, hence my plan to use manual adjustments.
Thanks, that's a good comparison.
I take it you use auto voltages...
I know this is probably a question that has been asked before.
Just starting to look into tuning and overclocking my 14900KF a bit more.
I have it currently at 'stock settings' but with an XMP of 7200Mhz that has been stable for some time, with an adaptive undervolt of -0.07000v.
Looking into...
Great work! Looks superb.
I 100% agree that having the right tools is massively worth it. A proper tube cutter rather than a pair of scissors, as an example, changes the game!
I gave up on this motherboard and switched to an Asus Z790 Apex Encore and 0 problems so far and I have pushed it hard and no issues like I had with this board.
I just looked up the 4060 LP and that looks like an amazing small GPU!
The GT1030 I have will fit, but the fans won't. I measured it and I don't think smaller fans will work either.
One option is fans under the case and putting some larger feet on the case. That's probably the best option for...
I needed to borrow a stock cooler to test a new build and accidentally lost the backplate under the motherboard tray.
Needed to remove the motherboard so, perfect excuse to update the media PC in the Fractal Design Node 202.
I was so close to doing a mini custom loop in there but I thought I...
They are good scores already right? My 14900K is SP94 / SP-P102 / SP-E 78 / MC-SP 75 and I was fairly happy with that as I usually badly lose the lottery!
Yes, these CPUs definitely require being power limited.
I undervolted my 14900K -0.0900v and tested stability and it is like 15c cooler using intel power limits.
I get similar power usage in games (perhaps a tiny bit more) than my Ryzen 7900X, but the idle power usage is so much better, around...
Is it my imagination or does this CPU seem much worse out of the box? It probably has to be heavily tuned and better have amazing SP scores otherwise it’s not worth it. If it is amazingly binned and you can undervolt it well, and maybe power limit it, then it may be worth it for a ‘regular’ use...
I had such a nightmare with an AMD build with a motherboard slowly dying and eventually refusing to boot.
Decided to go back to team blue after giving team red a good try for a few years.
Had some fun trying to get the tubes to line up fairly straight. I cannot deal with hard tubing and I...
