It's all just PR/marketing to help shift hardware and games. This is just a fancy demo (which i'm not that impressed with anyway) at this point.
People who want to believe will believe anything that fulfills their dreams.
The PC is a multipurpose device and won't be going anywhere as long as customers have a reason to create content, they'll be playing games and consuming all types of media on the platform.
No. Why would i? I've got over 500+ games across Steam/Origin/Uplay/GOG/Epic. Plus there are far too many limitations on consoles.
I don't give a **** about exclusives and if that's all consoles have to offer then Sony/Nintendo better get back to the drawing board.
They are totally different beasts and it's pointless even comparing them. One is a multipurpose device, the other is a toy that just plays games.
XSX/PS5 won't even scratch the PC, nevermid making it second place.
Anyway, why would you want to go to the lesser platform with lots of limitations.
Sigh, ok you need to stop comparing a multi-purpose device to a console. It's not an apple to apples comparison. They are completely different beasts.
Also, everyones PC is different, some might only need to upgrade their GPU, others may only need to upgrade their CPU, some might not even need...
Yep, exactly. People on here stating you need to spend a grand on a GPU are talking complete pish. You don't need to spend that on a GPU to have a great experience on PC. Not surprising at all, that obviously went over some peoples head on here.
I'm playing through my library just now and...
You're my shadow, everywhere i go you stalk me. You're like the mental patient that doesn't know they're mental.
I knew i had you on ignore for good reason. Congrats, you're back on my **** list. :p
A grand upgrading your PC, i don't think so. Exaggeration much!
I don't hate consoles by the way, i've previously owned many. It's just that for everything the PC offers, buying those systems just seems like a waste of money. Still far too many limitations, no matter how good the specifications.
Regarding AMD, the only way you can disrupt a segment, in this case 4K, is to offer great performance at decent prices. Otherwise, the 4K uptake will be slow and take longer.
As for consoles, too many people, even on here, are buying into the marketing. I don't know why anyone would want to go...
Currently gathering parts for my second build. I'll use the system iv'e got just now mostly for software development.
I'll buy a secondhand GPU until Nvidia's Series 4 or AMD's equivalent (RDNA 3) arrive. That's also when i'll buy a new VRR/G-sync compatible TV and a nice VR kit.
Just going...
Nah, more like multiple AAA games. MS just used some BS marketing slogan for it.
Same goes for their Smart Delivery. You've got to laugh at that one.
Aye, just this morning I was thinking what the world needs right now is more proprietary memory formats.
As for the quick resume feature, nothing new there, i've been switching between multiple games (in windowed mode) instantly on the PC for years. You don't even need to wait 6 seconds.
Yep, still far too many limitations on consoles.
Nvidia will release a fire breathing whore of a GPU this year just to undermine the console launches too.
So, they've almost made an Xbox as powerful as a 3-year-old PC.
Also, i just don't see the point of wasting money on something your PC has been capable of for years.
I'll continue playing through my backlog and upgrade to Nvidia's 4 Series or AMD's equivalent (RDNA 3) in a couple of years...
