Avast blocking 'Vulnerable Drivers' at every boot up?

Thanks guys, I'll go with Windows Defender then and get rid of Avast. I assume Defender has similar shield capabilities and threat detection ability for not only potential file based threats but web based ones too? Does it do malware as well or will I need to use something like SAS or Malware...

Avast blocking 'Vulnerable Drivers' at every boot up?

Hi, I've been using Avast (the free version) for years with no real issues. But recently, every single time I boot the PC up a message pops up saying 'Avast blocked a vulnerable driver' - its always a .tmp file with a random number. I've ran full scans with Avast, Malwarebytes and SAS and the...

Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

I'm thinking of going for a Mini Pro 4 too, have had an original Mavic for years now but rarely fly it these days. Bought my son a Mini 2 SE as his first drone recently and going out with him so he can fly it has rekindled my interest a little. But the Mavic being over 250g certainly does limit...

Moving cherished numbers between my own vehicles?

I have Googled this and looked at online guidance from DVLA but I'm still unsure on how to achieve (if it can even be done) this without having to incur multiple retention fee costs along with the additional waiting time it appears it will require. Scenario is this:- I have a cherished number...

Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Meant to post these from a couple of weeks ago but forgot. Local 'Cars & Coffee' meet I took my little lad along to. First time I've seen one of the newer Countach's on the road.

    The Division 2

Cheers, appreciate the info. Having had a further nose around on places like Reddit, it appears that the constant retaking of CP's is seen as a 'feature' and also has the knock on effect of being able to farm items once the CP has been retaken and the supply rooms are accessible. Guess I'll...

    The Division 2

Thread bump!! :D Played D2 on my gaming laptop for a year or so a few years ago and then stopped playing for various reasons. Now started again but this time playing on a big TV screen on my Xbox Series X. I have a question if I may - I'm at Lvl 30 at the moment and the Black Tusk have just...

    *** Car Wash / Valet / Detailing Thread ***

Folks, has anyone bought a short spray gun for their Karcher? I picked up one today - the Halfords Advanced one which comes with a few different QR nozzles. There's also an adapter in the box which you screw onto the bottom threaded inlet of the gun and then the OE Karcher hose is fitted by...

What windscreen cleaner do you use?

AutoGlym Fast Glass is good. And every now and then I decontaminate the windscreen with Glaco Soft 99 Compound. I find that eventually, after a good few full 3 stage washes where a power-washer applied spray on finishing wax is used (currently using Koch Chemie PW), the overspray which is pretty...

Yup . @VaderDSL had asked about it a few pages back. I found that AG Polar Seal did the same thing, I'm guessing most spray finishing waxes will do it too but was curious to see if the KC PW did it and if so, if it was to the same degree as the Polar Seal did.

Cheers.........stayed looking like that until later that afternoon once I'd driven it on minging roads!! :( I didn't use a glass sealant, do you mean RainX or similar? - Sorry, not too familiar with glass sealants! I usually just dry the car off and then clean the glass all round with AG Fast...

So, finally got a day to give my M340i a good going over and use the Koch Chemie Protector Wax. I'm impressed, seems to leave a deeper shine, beads and sheets off just as good too. Will see how it lasts, longevity wise compared to the AG Polar Seal. Also - used the 'dry the car with water'...

No, but I've had a Scorpion tracker installed in my car since I got it. In 12 months I've had two 'false alarms' and both half been addressed easily by calling their control room number. I do think they are worthwhile, overall - despite the risk of any false alarms

Tried out Koch Chemie Protector Wax today for the first time. As spray on wax goes I usually use AutoGlym Polar Seal but fancied trying the PW stuff as it gets excellent reviews. I'm impressed, seems to leave a deeper shine, beads and sheets off just as good too. Will see how it lasts, longevity...

I'm actually just off the phone to BMW Insured Warranties as I had a change of heart and wanted to add on Roadside Assistance as the policy I took out with them in the last few weeks was without it. Had the occasion to use the BMW Assist Roadside Assistance service under my (yet to expire)...

    BMW and M Power Owners

Just took out a BMW Insured warranty on my M340i. Reasonable price to pay for the peace of mind. I'd imagine for an M5C its likely to cost more than a 3 series, but I think the price structure is of a menu type. As an example, these are the 3 series options:-

I have Comfort Plus, Technology Plus and the visibility pack. I also have the pano roof which is a welcome option on the Touring and one that I love with the way it floods the interior with light. It took me a while to find the right car, in my preferred colour (Dravit) with my preferred options...

Was cleaning the inside of my windscreen yesterday and had a cloth sat on the passenger seat as I was sat in the driver seat. Reached over to pick up the cloth and somehow (goodness knows how) I dragged my thumbnail across the thigh bolster and scratched the damn thing :( I've tried AG Leather...
