I had this problem with my gigabyte model, I never fixed it after a year of tweaking. I'd suggest getting a replacement under warranty if you can. Unless of course you are happy tinkering until you can get that sweet spot in the settings.

Reverted also and everything is back to normal. Probably let the drivers mature through a few versions first. I really hate the new UI though. Thought the previous version was really sleek.

Not one to usually trash a driver update but the new Adrenaline 19.12.2 has gimped my card. Could run 900mhz HBM before now it will only just do about 850 without artifacts. Power draw is up too, hopefully just early teething problems. They have changed the UI too and i dont like it.

Was just wondering mate. Was thinking about the VRM chips and if i could passively cool from black plate too.

Now I've had chance to play with the Asus Strix I must say I am pleased in comparison to the previous Gigabyte version I owned. I have now manage to OC the HBM to 955mhz on the asus card compared to 860mhz on the Gigabyte. Other positives include the lack of coil whine and also the absence of...

I think it was sheer blind luck as i have killed as many cards as repaired them :) Im never going to open it up again now haha. I've run more stress tests this morning and completed a firestrike run with a 22000 score. Just need to play some games now.

So following on from this story. I just changed the VRM thermal pad for a grizzly 3mm thick one and for some reason the card now works absolutely faultlessly. Just ran 15 mins of Heaven at 870mhz HBM. I don't really understand what has happened, my thermals were decent in the first place and the...

I did try flashing the stock bios using the ATI Flash programme, however I have a feeling it may have not flashed correctly as it literally completed the operation in a few seconds-normally in my experience it takes a bit longer ??

So just a little background. I've previously posted on this forum when i had a gigabyte vega56, well in the last few weeks that bit the dust with artifacting and code43. Because I am a tight git I like to browse for parts and not working on a certain website. I managed to pick up a Asus strix...

I moved onto a ryzen 2600 in January this year after my Asus p6 deluxe started breaking down. A fan header stopped working and my bios kept forgetting my OC profile. I still managed to sell the board with an x5670 and the 12gb of ram for around £130ish on ebay as spares and repairs. I do miss...

Hi guys, So i have the Gigabyte Vega56 card (bought used in Dec). I've undervolted and OC'ed and it performs perfectly most of the time. However randomly I have the annoying black screen max fans crash intermittently-it can happen after 5 mins or 5 hours of gaming. Now im thinking/hoping its...

That NB frequency is pretty low, mine for instance is at 3100mhz. You could try 2800mhz with 700mhz on the DRAM frequency.

So I have received my Gigabyte Vega 56 (£210 ebay ) and have played around with a few settings undervolting etc. Got my core to 1600mhz at 1.1v with a max temp of 60c. However i'm struggling to get the memory (hynix) past 850mhz without artifacting on heaven-are there any tricks in wattman...

You have to play around with the DRAM voltage and QPI voltage. To get my 6x2gb to run at 1600mhz I need to apply 1.66v on the ram and 1.33v on the QPI, that could be your issue. Also my asus p6t sometimes craps out in the bios and doesn't say 12gb ram on the boot screen, however cpu-z will...

I love super low temperatures though! That said one thing I have realised is how much QPI/DRAM voltage (VTT on some boards) affects core temps-seemingly more so that higher vcore.

Hi guys first post. So i currently have a x5670 21*200 at 1.31v on a Asus P6T Deluxe V2 and I am thinking of getting an X5675 since they can be had cheapish from overseas. I was wondering if anyone had experience of x5675's doing 200*22 under 1.35v ?. Also the IMC on my chip is pants, is it...
