Search in the 'Advanced' section in your BIOS for: fTPM for AMD or Intel is PTT. Nobody needs a TPM module if it's a relatively recent motherboard/cpu. So no need to get scalped off sh1tnuts trying to sell a £7 item for £70.

Get Secure With NordVPN? Review and Discount

Google searches for best UK VPN results in so much bull - It's gonna be some task to weed out any truth from this dribble.. Even this thread OP recommending NordVPN, then post above mine. "Nord would frequently drop connection regardless of which server I was using" xD

    5960X Asus X99-A II, 32GB 3200Mhz Overclock

I think i'm gonna stick at 2666. I'm happy with the CPU at 4.4. I upped the vcore to 1.13v as when I tried a stress test at 1.11v it failed after 3hrs 50 mins. At 1.13v its 24hrs solid and hasn't flinched since. 27c idle and 55c on full load will do me. I could take the ram timings down further...

    5960X Asus X99-A II, 32GB 3200Mhz Overclock

I checked that earlier - This is on the latest bios currently available. It is a new board from Asus though so maybe (if it is a problem) it'll be addressed soon in a bios update. I've just started going backwards on vcore by 0.010v to 1.120v. AIDA64 has been running for an hour now on CPU...

is this cpu decent, clocked 5960x?

What ram speed and timings are you using? I has such problems with my rams XMP @ 3200. In the end I lowered ram speed to 2666 with 13, 14, 14, 35. 1T timings. Now i'm at 4.4Ghz on the cpu, AIDA64 stable for 5 hrs with only 1.130v on the core. I just lowered the vcore to 1.120v and am running...

    5960X Asus X99-A II, 32GB 3200Mhz Overclock

Spec in Sig When i completed this new mobo, cpu and ram upgrade the first thing i done in the bios was enable the memory XMP - This set the ram voltage to V1.35 and the memory to 3200mhz along with the relevant timings. Next I set the multiplier to 44 for a 4.4Ghz I generally like to start...

is this cpu decent, clocked 5960x?

I just left all of the voltage settings to auto, set ram XMP @3200. Booted to Windows fine - Idle temp is now 37.5C. Stock @ 3.5ghz was only 28 lol. I set main multi to 45 and cache to 42. I just ran CPU-Z it's showing 1.309v. Stress testing now in Aida64 extreme core 4 reached 75c. Time to...

is this cpu decent, clocked 5960x?

I'm just about to start trying an overclock on my new 5960X. I'm running an Asus X99-A II, 32gb of 3200 mem. I'm not used to this separate cache overclocking. Any pointers on a good starting point?

    Asus Motherboard or Gigabyte

I stopped using Asus back in the BlackOps days. Used Gigabyte ever since. But this switch from Z97 to X99 moves me back to Asus. The new board and memory gets here tomorrow so lets hope it's a painless experience. It took me far too long to get my old Asus BlackOps board stable, then when I...

Computer instantly turning off on boot

Chuk Chuk, take the cooler off and clean the other memory slot, It is possible that the thermal paste may need to be renewed anyway - two birds, one stone. If it's still doing it after that, you could try a process of elimination with removing one stick, and vice-versa

    Upgrade spec check (£2k)

I'm skipping these broadwell's. Instead, i've saved some money and gone with a 5960X on a Broadwell-E compatible Mainboard for a possible future 10+ core upgrade. I'm so miffed at the new Broadwell-E lack of overclockability I've currently got the Asus X99-A II Intel X99 in my basket. It seems...

    Help running cat6 cable outdoors

The plastic outer cable in Newcastle soon turns brittle with the cold, and that single sunny day we get during a mythical thing called 'summer' doesn't help either. I suggest getting your lass to scream in naughts and ones, and you interpret them with an analog/digital converter. Or if you're in...
