Folk are having a bit of an overreaction to this boosting crap.
Yeah AMD dropped the ball a bit with this but its hardly the end of the world. The chips aint far off the top clock, mostly.
We all know AMDs marketing department is useless, and its hardly like intel can point the finger as many...
Er have you been to Glasgow University? There are professors and academics who were around 400 years ago ... no prob.
Some even grew up with the Dinosaurs.
No need to go in circles, the 3600 is the right chip for most folk unless you want a bit more future proofing.
A zen2 3600
16GB of 3200 ddr4 (best sweet spot for zen2)
Your choice of video card (imho i wouldnt be going 2070 but you already have yours so no prob)
Half a TB of SSD at least
All you...
If you dont think that the worlds first 7nm x86 cpu built with chiplets that brings 12 and 16 cores to the desktop for the first time ever positioning itself as the fastest consumer processor ever by quite a way then.. well i recon you need a visit to a head doctor.
Set a static IP address for your computer thats within the normal dhcp range of the router and then turn DHCP off on it.
Sounds dodgy having to keep resetting it, should be on all the time and never need rebooting.

I am currently running a copper backbone up my stairs into a cupboard, needing at least 5 prob 6 gigabit connections to it for my servers. Having to get creative with hiding the cat 5 under the carpet.
Mine is rather high at the moment, its around 100 a lot - but thats hardly surprising with the amount of toxic guff i am being given the now.
Does come down, but nowhere near 50-60 odd.
You could tell it that it has a wsus server to go to and set it to loopback or something - those configurable settings are in the registry.
Although i have to say this is a bad idea.
If your doing a rebuild then 100% always do a fresh windows build, its not worth the hassle.
Windows 10 drivers are crap, always go to the manufacturers site and download the latest ones, your leaving performance sitting on the table without them.
Well if its just to drop in and have as little hassle with replumbing then... suppose its ok but lets be honest here its crap.
Maybe save for a bit more and do the whole lot and move to a 3600x or 3700. Huge improvement.
Yeah ie was dead ages ago, that said Edge is ok... ish
