    Valve announces the SteamDeck

Mine arrived today, all fitted without issue. Very easy. The longer back buttons are a game changer for me, so much better. Thanks for the heads up

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

Maybe I was just lucky. I just pulled at the top of the deck on the flat surface below the power button and it unclicked straight away. I also never unplugged the battery. Screws were fine for me, but I did have the correct screwdriver size I guess.

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

I got a Steamdeck yesterday. This is my second one, I got one last year but gave it away to a family member as I never used it that much. I have bought a couple of other retro emulators since, even some expensive ones and they are just a disappointment, so I went back to the Steamdeck as for...

Thanks so much, going to order myself one.

    Asus ROG Ally

I imagine it would need to have a decent output, so 65W to support the Ally? Baseus Power Bank, 65W 20000mAh USB C Portable Charger is £53 I see - looks decent

    Asus ROG Ally

Has anyone used Emudeck for Windows on their unit yet? I think you can get it by coming a Patreon of theirs. I am tempted to order one, really love the way Emudeck works on the Steamdeck and would like the same on the Ally.

    Asus ROG Ally

Was it from Currys? I got an ipad from them last year and it just came in a plastic bag over the box, no proper external cardboard box which I thought was poor. I don't think the standard box is enough for transport IMO.

GPU fan speed at 44% speed whilst idle

Ok, I am no expert here. Was it working correctly before you did the fan curve in MSI Afterburner? Can you post a pic of that curve? If you download the fan control software, it will tell you exactly what each fan is doing.

GPU fan speed at 44% speed whilst idle

What fan settings do you have set in the BIOS? Fan Control is a good app where you can see exactly what your fans are doing and can set them up anyway you like.

    Graphics card power cable issue

I got myself an ATX 3.0 power supply, which comes with one 600W plug directly from the power supply to the card, looks neat.

    Acceptable GPU temps

Thanks, is the hot spot temp worth looking at, or should I just ignore that?

    Acceptable GPU temps

Thanks, but what is a good temp to adjust my fans to allow? I don't really want to run them full speed.

    Acceptable GPU temps

I have had a look around and cannot find much information on this. Recently I upgraded my GPU and also my case and I am looking for some help as to what the ideal GPU temps should be. I have been messing with fan profiles etc and I can get the card to be what I think is pretty cool if I have...

    GPU temp and case type

So I removed the front part of the case and the mesh, looks like this now Did some gaming again, temps are now max GPU 61 and max hot spot 74 - so much better. GPU is at 22 and hot spot 32 as I type this. I think I would be best to get a new case, as the current noise and look is not what I...
