Vodafone have a lot of issues with throttling, for example Twitch/any streaming website. They don't have ping issues though.

Ok thanks for the explanation. I'm just paranoid, I had the worst experience with BT that it made not want to deal with any ISP related with BT. Shame I'm stuck with openreach because Virgin refuses to cover small towns. I had the worst possible service from BT that even the ping spikes...

There is no fix other than switching ISP. It's not only just Netflix, a simple YouTube or even Spotify will cause your ping to spike. The ping spikes happen on all devices just not my laptop. I turned every device off and I still get ping spikes, I mainly game on a wired PS4 and it's unpredictable when it's gonna happen to me. My connection was fine 2 months ago with the same devices, I don't even live in a busy household...

That's what I'm going to do anyway! Shame we don't have virgin available where I live. I just hope these issues dont follow me so finger crossed. The BT forums are full of ping latency complains. A simple 480p video will cause your ping to spike. Of course BT are staying silent since they don't...

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

I just created an account to say BT is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Long story short, I've been having these ping spikes where my ping shoots up from 12 to 400 ms for few minutes before it drops back again. I've had 4 engeniers visits and no issues were in within my line, I got...
