+1 Exactly.
I had the money saved up ready for the new GPU's but thankfully because of the prices I put it toward a car which I love.
I wonder how many people have put themselves in further debt to upgrade something they didn't actually need to upgrade.
I would hope that the increase in stock drops is down to that slow container ship finally arriving and logistics are now back on track.
Price should start dropping once the mindless desparados stop buying from scalpers.
Fingers crossed or I'm no longer a PC gamer. I will then turn to doing...
Wow what a bargain.
So if you buy from a scalper and the item developers a fault do you need proof of purchase? If so what would that be, an invoice written on the back of a fag packet?
Men! Don't be weak, we need a revolution. Nvidia pushed up the GPU PRICES up years ago which we tolerated but it can go on no longer.
We need to be strong and fight to win back our PC hardware. How do we do that? By spending very wisely, keep your hard earned in the bank. Get yourself a hair...
Yep crazy, £400 higher than a 3080 for very little extra performance. I'm sure there will be plenty of stock of the ti, I just hope people with a brain cell won't buy it.
Thought this was amusing.
Yep your view on reasonable is very different to mine and my wife's is different again.
I suppose if your completely new to PC gaming then the prices might be fine. However I've been around a very long time and prefer not to chuck my hard earned away.
Crikey, that's nearly £400 over MSRP, bonkers and from retail.
I've spent 10 minutes trying to think of a follow up sentence but my gob has been too smacked up. I bet anyone buying a 3070 for that, gets a sore arse.
It boggles my mind that there is massive global demand from PC users and miners but only a couple of foundries actually making the chips and very complicated ones at that .
How is it ever going to be satisfied?
All you crypto kids and serial upgraders are killing the environment. I still enjoy the PC I bought from Panrix in 1998 with the ATI Rage Fury, it still runs Duke Nukem and Half Life.
Bean soda anyone?
I really hope there's a backlash from game developers as I'm not buying any new games to play on my GTX 770.
I nearly used my gpu savings on an oled but our I.T manager said he may be able to get some 3070's in about 3 months. Until then it's me, my 400 Steam backlog and currently Lara Croft in...
I purchased an ElectriQ 27" 1440 95hz monitor for £170 and its amazing and looks like my old Dell. The only cons are the stand and the osd menu but I don't use those much and it mounted on a monitor arm.
The actual display is superb.
Also part of the frill of buying new kit is getting a bargain, I don't buy anything unless it's got a yellow sticker on it. Now I have sell one of the kids to get a gpu.
I bought a 1440p monitor early last year in readiness for 3070 but now I'm stuck with a gtx 760.
To play Battlefield 5 I have to set the game to run at 1080p so I can get 40fps.
But it's all good. :)
Consider us old guys that have been gaming since the 70's. I might be dead by the time this nonsense sorts itself out and on my grave stone will be inscribed 'F U nVidia'
Thankfully I'm wise enough to not pay stupid prices and waste time searching mythical products.
