What this all ultimately boils down to is greed along the entire length of the chain from manufacturer to end supplier. They have taken advantage of a perfect storm of situations and used them as an excuse to further boost profits. Defend them all you want this is the reality of business.

Because the store in question is less than 1/4 mile from my house and I pass it on my daily exercise walk. Most Online retailers are still operating a pick up system with strict protocols in place to ensure that Covid rules are still followed :)

Got sick of waiting for a 5900x to be available so just bought a 5800x today for £400. Picked it up an hour later and installed it :) Now all I need is a decent GPU :)

Yeah I don't think any of the main retailers have had the 5900x in since December but luckily most of them haven't continued taking preorders letting their wild claims cash cheques that actual reality cannot cash!

Makes you wonder if what they claim to have in stock and what they have in stock in reality are actually the same don't it :)

I ordered something off a main competitor on Dec 31st. It arrived Jan 3rd - maybe phone your competitors for tips on how to keep deliveries flowing smoothly :D

Well they are definitely doing this with Pre-built systems. Theres a review on Trustpilot right now where someone has stated that they ordered a system off OC at the end of November and got it delivered recently and are enjoying their shiny new 3080 GPU.

There are plenty of examples out there of people ordering stuff saying +10 in stock only to find out once they have paid for the item it mysteriously goes to 'out of stock' Main competitors of OC have the 5600x in stock now for £10 cheaper and without the wait for delivery or having to second...

What makes you think this? Chinese New Year is pretty similar to our own and and has absolutely no effect on production beforehand. Do you seriously think Chinese companies are running on a go slow because the new year is coming up so they deliberately produce things slower? All this means is...

Don't listen to these people. They're mainlt salty because they were first to order a 3080 and now they are salty because their card is now going to be superceded by an even better model in a matter of months :)

Think its £510 but don't ever expect to see that sort of price here - Ferrari's and all that to maintain ;)

They have dropped down to 3.9 stars on Trustpilot now. They are letting their greed run away with them. Even with all their faked reviews on Trustpilot they can't stop the rating plummeting and people will remember this and avoid using them in the long run. Let them enjoy their fast buck for now...
