I took OCUK up on the offer of the 3070TI and it got shipped out last thing on Thursday. Being in Northern Ireland, I didn’t expect it to arrive until Monday. But I finally have it in my hands!
My dog, Whiskey, is very warm from me running my 1050TI (hence the lips caught on the teeth) and...
I paid via Amazon, so the Sales team guy had to refund my money and then I paid the 689.99. Either way, the prices shown are inclusive of UK sales tax. Any other costs might be import tax charged if you’re outside the UK.
There were a few 3070TI options. I went for the Gigabyte Gaming OC. Seeing as I paid £650 for my order on release day, I just had to pay the difference.
Gigabyte 3070Ti Gaming OC (GX-1DW-GI) at 689.99,
Gigabyte 3070Ti Master (GX-1DV-GI) at £799.99,
Zotac 3070Ti AMP HOLO (GX-12Q-ZT) at £689.99
Well, my watch is over...
Just decided to go ahead and switch from 3080 Eagle OC to the 3070TI Gaming OC. It cost me £40 over and above the £650 I paid on launch day. The team were really helpful and said that they had my (new) model in stock and would be dispatched later today or tomorrow...
OCUK seem to be getting a little screwed over, in comparison to other retailers. I think that other sellers seem to be getting preferential treatment from Board Partners.
Yeah, I have sympathy for you guys. As the retailer at the end of the supply chain, I'm sure margins are slim, none or a total loss on a lot of these products. You're also the ones who have to battle with angry consumers who can't get a card or who are being asked to pay over and above the...
Just had a look at the email. Whilst I’m appreciative that OCUK are providing options, it isn’t really feasible for me.
I’m in the queue for the 3080 Eagle OC and paid £650 for mine on release day. My options are:
I can pay £40 extra for a 3070TI instead, with invariably worse overall...
With all the talk of an impending 40xx series coming out soon, I really wonder just how any other industry could actually get away with something like this.
I mean, seriously…imagine a whole swathe of customers ordering a product and within six months, customers who haven’t even had that order...
Got a cheeky wee queue update randomly midweek there.
Position 89 for the 3080 Eagle OC. Have moved 3 places in the last 3 weeks. Ordered on launch day and we’re now 299 days in…
No news recently. Probably very little chance of movement for the next while. I imagine that there’ll be more likelihood of decent 3080TI stock when it launches and 3080 Eagle stock probably won’t come back in for the next 6 months or so.
Based on this, when the next generation comes out, I’m going to try for a Zotac card. At least they actually try and deliver stock to their customers...
Just got my queue update email. 3080 Eagle OC queue. 138 > 132.
RIP me.
Waiting for the inevitable cancellation email when Gigabyte finally have the balls to confirm cancellation of the SKU.
Scotti, can you or Gibbo give us any update on what OCUK are planning to do for those who purchased GPUs but there isn’t any reasonable likelihood of the order being fulfilled any time soon? I’m slightly above the 100 limit that you advised of previously, but I’m very reluctant to cancel my order.
Same. I feel particularly salty because I would have happily ordered a Gaming OC, but the Eagle was the first one I was able to actually add to my basket on launch day.
i feel like Gigabyte have basically just given a giant middle finger to us all. @GigaMan is nowhere to be seen.
Gibbo posted a gigabyte update this morning:
40x Gaming OC 3080 due next week
4x Aorus Master 3080 due next week
4x Aorus Extreme 3090 due next week
7x Gaming OC 3090 due next week
Another week with no news on Eagles... :(
I think that @GIGA-Man hates us.
