    Helldivers 2

Sorry but couldn't help but think back to the old Leeroy Jenkins meme, and imagine a machinima of the other Helldivers all psyching up and prepping for a mission etc, with the your 'diver casually going lone wolf out of the Destroyer by himself. "FOR SUPER EAR....wait, where's Dave gone??" :D

    Helldivers 2

I play regularly, drop me a DM and I'll share my steam name, you'd be welcome to join me if you see me on and playing with room in the team, as long as not waiting for someone in a preorganised group. Feels like half my steam friends list are playing half the time now lol

    Helldivers 2

I wonder if I'll actually be able to accept my wife's friends invite now rather than the accept button doing nothing :) Update: Nope! She has no fancy symbols in her name, just two capital letters, and not a massively long steam name EITHER. We've both been able to add other people, just for...

    Helldivers 2

They sure do! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5SriuojRA8 A lot of hidden niknaks in this game. Another we've not heard ingame yet is there is actually a full Super Earth Anthem. At the moment you hear the instrumental version during the raising of the flag, but it's real...

Why do I get that feeling we MIGHT have a dissident on our hands, citizens?

    Helldivers 2

I think a lot of the crashes people are getting are either Game Guard screwing up, OR desyncs between the game/other players, as the game relies on a P2P system. Multiple times now people doing various things have triggered crashes on other players in the party; so the game seems to rely a...

The Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Owners Thread.

Helldivers 2 crashes even on Nvidia, it seems susceptible to random crashes, especially if someone drops out or causes the P2P configuration to play up, so I think that is potentially just the game!

The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Not sure if you saw it but they also dropped a creditless OP?

Sounds like yours is also pretty nice! I would have pushed the memory higher but I didn't want any signs of errors not even the odd ones.

The Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Owners Thread.

Wife has a 3840x1600 UW so decided to see if I can get a bit more out of her 7900XT Nitro+, given how overbuilt it is. Unfortunately she does not seem to have won the lottery when it comes to memory OC, her card runs 2487MHz out of the box, and once I go past around 2537 real (2550 in control...

The RX 7900 GRE as of 20/03/2024 - Not such a flawed product?

These are now looking very tempting, at least one of the better specced models, which is likely to boost the memory more effectively. If I didn't have a 3080 I'd be tempted to get one myself to play around with. Either way the 7800xt and 7900gre are now looking solid buys at thier prices, and...

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

It'd be enthusiast, but would have a chance with the more mainstream users of the dock also, especially if the dock/card were bundled, prebuilt, together, at a somewhat reasonable rate, with drivers vetted and built directly into SteamOS, with seamless swapover. Thankfully the Switch has...

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

Yeah, could genuinely be a good option for those who only play games via Steam with their PC, assuming Steam Deck 2 will likely come with something like an 6/8 core CPU by the time that comes out, assuming they're able to optimise a CPU's power consumption as far as they were with the Steam Deck :)

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

An e-GPU dock, especially if Valve vet, recommend and incorporate drivers for GPUs (even if AMD only), would be wonderful; for those who want the balance of portable and power when at home.

Well perhaps unsurpringly the Rocoren unfortunately was not behaving nicely when it arrived. Wouldn't even negotiate 45w fast charging with my phone when first plugged in or the car was switched on (let alone the 140W it's meant to be able to do...), you'd have to unplug the cables from it...

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

I ended up going for a "Rocoren USB C Car Charger 165W, PD3.1 140W QC5.0 PPS 3-Ports" Yes a Chinese brand, but went for it off the back of positive reviews, and supposed support for up to 140w off the top socket, as it'll help me power other devices when on the move. It's meant to support...

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

I actually have an old Belkin inverter, but they tend to get bulky rather fast and I was hoping for something a bit more compact, once you go above 100-150w they usually expect direct wiring to the battery which is a no go (I used to have several of them), and they have a tendency to early...

    Humble Choice

The entire top row are probably worth it, even if the AoS and Saints Row games are abandoned by devs/devs are gone, whilst the bottom row is a bit more niche but still looks to be decent.

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

Can anyone recommend a good car charger for these? My current car charger will do 35W but it's not quite enough for the Steam Deck when running full tilt, and the famous rainforest is a bit of a minefield with hundreds of the damn things. Would like to get one that just works, can keep the...

When do you know your CPU is throttling your system?

The old Sandy/Ivy/Haswell i5/i7 CPUs are still actually great for day to day, as long as the frequency is high enough, but they're definately reaching thier end point for anything more than lower spec or esport gaming. I mean, for balance I wouldn't partner more than something like a 1650, 1660...
