Supposedly Slot's only taking the job to show England that not all bald Dutchmen are useless.

And where did you read this? I don't think, from Liverpool's side, there was anything briefed from the club on who there first choice was. I think there was an assumption (very possibly a correct one) that Alonso was although, and I said this prior to the news that Alonso was staying at...

    Klopp Out Arne In

What nearly is, is subjective - I'd say that a side being level on points with 9 games to go gave then a very realistic chance of being champions. Which was ultimately the point being made - whether AZ would have went on to win the title is neither here nor there, the fact that they were in the...

    Klopp Out Arne In

Your first point makes no sense. The Dutch League being a (far) inferior to say the PL doesn't change the achievement of winning that League with a smaller side. The Scottish League is rubbish but if somebody were to lead Kilmarnock to the title then that would be a huge achievement. That...

Out of interest Adam, what are you basing this on. I won't pretend to know anything about this guy, in fact had you asked me about him a week ago I wouldn't have even known who he was however simply comparing managers based on League position seems a bit silly if you ask me. Feyenoord are the...

Ok, you're clearly missing the point. Neville's said everything so using what he's said to make a point doesn't really mean much. But anyway, it's boring and I've got to be up early so I'm off to bed.

I didn't see/hear his clarification re the Spurs comment but the key word in what he said was 2nd which suggested City were finishing 1st but anyway, it's boring now. As a general rule, whatever Neville says he has already or will say something the complete opposite soon after and I found...

Ok, if you think him saying he thinks City will win the title and thought they would before Arsenal lost too and months ago saying Spurs could beat them to 2nd (which tells you he thought somebody else would finish 1st) is Neville backing Arsenal for the title all season then that's up to you...

He literally said before the defeat he thought City would win it too :D Like I said, Nevilles utter **** and changes his mind by the day.

Sorry my edit was too slow for you. Watch from 5mins 30 of the video below. Neville saying he thinks City will win it and before Liverpool & Arsenal lost he still thought City would win it. Using Neville as your example was a bit silly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdElV17K6t0

I didn't know you were keeping a record of every comment Neville's made to know that but seeing as he said Spurs could come 2nd, above Liverpool and Arsenal, that suggests he had City winning the League does it not? Neville talks **** and changes his opinion all the time which is why you putting...

Whatever his rationale for saying it was, he was still predicting that Spurs could/would finish above Arsenal. You can't really use Neville as an example of somebody backing Arsenal to win the League when a couple of months ago he didn't fancy them to finish in the top 2.

I don't know what he said a few weeks ago but 3 months ago he had Spurs finishing ahead of them, hardly backing them all season is it.

Started the 2nd half ok but like a few performances of late, it's petered out in the end. You knew exactly what you were going to be up against today with Dyce and DCL - it was just going to be long balls and them playing for free-kicks and as much as the ref played into Everton's hands, we...

Played rubbish for most of the half but could have been ahead if we could finish. We've got to be more careful so that the ref hasn't got a chance to be conned but Everton have been throwing themselves to the ground all half and the ref has bought it time and time again. The free-kick for the...

    The Great Big FFP Debate

Ah, see my edit. This rule is not being proposed in isolation. It's to go alongside the 70% squad cost rule. Newcastle, Villa and Forest won't be able to spend a penny more. It just limits what City (for example) could spend if their revenue ever got so high that 70% was more than 5x Sheffield...

    The Great Big FFP Debate

I'm not sure it will go any way to leveling the playing field. As the article states, if this rule was in effect last season then only Chelsea would have been marginally over the upper limit. It would have little to no effect on how much the top sides can spend or at least what they do spend...
