The main manager James Anderson is leaving at the end of April so that increases the risk somewhat. SMT has also fallen by more than 50% during previous crisis periods, 2008 crash etc so could have further to drop yet!

This is the only way this could work surely. See the item price, scan it to fix the price that you pay and then carry on shopping. The price could then increase for the next customer but they would still be paying the price they see on the shelf so not a problem.
For around £500 I'd look at the Google Pixel. A very good phone with 5" screen, stock android and a great camera which will be supported for longer than other brands.
Hard to say as most people won't even have heard of OnePlus ! If re-sale value is important then get a Samsung or iPhone if not then just get the OnePlus that suits your needs.
