The PG278Q is undoubtably the best high refresh monitor available. If £700 us too much to swallow I highly recommend the XL2720Z.

Those horizontal lines you speak of happens on them all. Even on the desktop you can get them to appear by dragging windows up and down over certain colours. In games it happens on muzzle flashes mostly. Its just how this monitor is made, its very noticeable in ULMB mode as well.

I am using those settings and I am very happy with it. Image quality wise its one of the best monitors I have used and I am an IPS fanboi.
