We're getting married in France this August (she is French). Total cost for everything not including the honeymoon will be around nine thousand Euros or a bit less than £7000. There will be 80 people at the reception.
I was aiming for £6000 maximum, so not far off.
I think I'm getting somewhere now. I connected my Iiyama monitor to the graphics card again and the screen flickered like I described before. I use this monitor every day at work and I've never seen it flicker. I'll have to send back the graphics card for RMA.
I agree but these problems only occur when it's connected to one particular TV. If I send away the graphics card for RMA, it will be tested and found to be functioning properly! :(
In Catalyst Control Center the listed desktop resolutions only go up to 1680x1050. To get full resolution on my TV, I have to set CCC to 1080p mode in the 'HDTV' list. There is clearly something wrong here.
Right, I brought home another 1080p monitor. I connected that to the graphics card via HDMI and booted up, and everything was fine as expected.
I opened up Catalyst Control Center then connected the Panasonic TV with a DVI to HDMI cable. It was immediately recognised as a second monitor, and I...
The Dell monitor has a resolution of 1680 x 1050 so that would be the only difference. I do have access to another monitor which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 so I will test that tomorrow.
To be clear, I can't even see the boot-up screen or the BIOS. I can't tell if the PC is booting into...
I recently bought an MSI R9 280X OC and I have exhausted all options in trying to figure out why it won't output a proper signal to my TV. I need some advice! This will be quite a long post but any help would be greatly appreciated.
First a summary of the problem and various configurations...
These days I have my PC connected to the living room TV for gaming mostly using a controller, however I've still got a couple of games which are better with keyboard and mouse.
At the moment I've got a basic wired gaming keyboard and a Razor Diamondback gaming mouse from many years ago. They...
You're not far wrong, I looked at all the costs and she could save at least £1000 by selling the Twingo in France then buying a small car here! Insurance for a Twingo isn't cheap.
I am looking for information on behalf on a friend, and I thought this might be a good place to ask since I'm finding it difficult to find information on government websites.
She will be living in the UK from September in order to do a PGCE course (postgrad, teacher training) which lasts one...
With my 2500k at 4.5GHz and 6950 at 950/1450 I only get 1153:
I let the benchmark run twice and confirmed with GPUZ that the clocks stayed at 950/1450 the whole time.
Can anyone explain why my score is lower than others who are getting 1300+ ? I definitely don't have AA or AF forced in...
Unlocked my shaders today and had a go at overclocking it.
Using Sapphire Trixx I can manage 950 on the core at 1.225v or 940 at 1.2v, temps dont go over 65 either way as I've got a Thermalright Shaman.
Memory goes to 1450 max.
Would anyone agree that I should keep the core at 940 with...

Asus Xonar D1 plugged into Logitech Z-5500 speakers. I play games, it produces pleasing sounds.
Although as I've discovered, Dolby Headphone is an echoey pile of poo.
