Finally bought a PS5, what have I missed?

Seems I overlooked premium. Last time I used a service like that was Xbox live/gold/whatever it was called and you had to claim a couple of games each month. Bonus with premium is there seems to be a bunch of kids games too so should keep the daughter happy too! Pretty sure I'm now set until...

Finally bought a PS5, what have I missed?

Haven't owned a console since the Xbox One and other than Warzone and Overwatch, I really haven't played much in the last 5 years. I have a list of a few games I will be picking up below. What else have I missed and should be adding to the list? Spider man Last of us Stawars - Jedi Survivor...

New build - Win 11 Home or Pro (or 10)?

If they are the same price then I would go for Pro. I believe that only Pro/Enterprise gets bitlocker, if that is something you are interested in.

The best thermal paste to get?

Every time I need to buy more I go into a rabbit hole of watching/reading reviews and always end up just bying MX-4 anyway because I have never had issues with it and its cheap.

    Is Broadband Too Expensive?

Personally it's gotten cheaper for me. Have been in this house 8 years and we were always stuck with BT as it was a new build in a new area where BT/Openreach were the only options until recently when it was opened up to other providers. Price was between £35-40 for that time and highest speed...

Vodafone FTTP 500Mbps - What router are you using?

I think we have had it for about 6 months now but the issues only started happening a month or so ago. (I have changed nothing in this time) I would like to upgrade to 6e anyway so this is a good excuse. The devices that have had issues on wireless are things like Hive thermostats and my...

Vodafone FTTP 500Mbps - What router are you using?

It has stopped my wired fire cube and also printer working in the past too sadly.

Vodafone FTTP 500Mbps - What router are you using?

What prompted the upgrade? I have been looking at the axe75 for WiFi 6e. Also, do you find you are missing any features? I noticed tp-link have some kind of subscription package which seems bonkers for a home product.

Vodafone FTTP 500Mbps - What router are you using?

I did consider that but would have to go through the mind numbing step by step troubleshooting by whoever answers the phone. This lets me upgrade to WiFi 6e and not have to justify it to the wife haha

Vodafone FTTP 500Mbps - What router are you using?

I did wonder that but when the fire cube was having issues I did a scan of the network and then set a static IP that was not in use and it still couldn't get a connection until the router was restarted (my laptop worked fine in that port during testing). Its like it just takes a dislike to a...

Vodafone FTTP 500Mbps - What router are you using?

It has happened with a wired Fire TV Cube and my printer too sadly. I have Hive heating and now when I open the app I am used to either the upstairs or downstairs thermostat being offline until I refresh it a few times. This never happened before with BT and I had that router for 6 years.

Vodafone FTTP 500Mbps - What router are you using?

Looking to replace the router provided by Vodafone as have had a few issues with it (forced all devices onto 2.4ghz for a while, random devices drop off and only a restart of the router allows them to join again etc). So, as title, what hardware are you using with your Vodafone FTTP connection?

    New headset for gaming

Final update! While waiting for the G6 to arrive I was using the H6pro's on my tablet which had a sound setting for different ages and picking my age set it to "boost highs" which made it sound better. I then plugged it into the PC again and messed with the settings in the Realtek software to...

    New headset for gaming

So to update this, turns out I had issues with the Realtek drivers on my PC, but I'm not sure how much difference it made after being fixed. I had my wife (no interest in decent audio) and daughter (who was more interested in the microphone sticking out) test both headsets without telling them...

    New headset for gaming

They were indeed, which makes me question if they were returned for this very reason. I did see that thread yesterday when I was trying to find a solution and did try pressing them in further, there is an initial click and then it goes in further up to the ring further down the 3.5 jack, I...

    New headset for gaming

Apologies if I am using the wrong terminology. So I took the H6Pro's out of the box and connected them to my laptop, they sounded muffled/muddy and there was a lack of clarity. I then plugged them into my PC and had the same result. The best comparison I have is if I plug my Sony XM3's into my...

    New headset for gaming

Thanks everyone for all the input. I found a pair of H6Pro Open for £67 so have taken a punt on them. Having that bit of extra bass and detachable mic appealed to me over the PC38X. Will see how I get on with an open back set. Next up will potentially be a soundcard. Any recommendations on...

Thanks for the detailed reply. Seems I have quite a few reviews to read!

    New headset for gaming

I use the XM3's with ambient sound mode (turns off ANC) so open back will be more what I am used to at the moment. If closed back would give a better experience/sound quality I am open to that too.

    New headset for gaming

Looking for a new gaming headset and don't know where to start! Currently using a pair of Sony XM3's which have become spare since I don't fly much anymore plugged into my B550 Aorus Pro with the 3.5mm jack. I see a lot of headsets are now wireless, is latency an issue with wireless? Are...
