UCG-Ultra working nicely, but prob going to get rid of the 2nd unit as I can’t see me replacing pfsense for it at another family install.
Been offered a refund credit on the Express, so will potentially take them up on that and look at an alternate AP.

Max-Ultra does look good, but no controller there and wanted to keep it simpler etc. My network, if I was to move off a 3rd party gateway, Max-Ultra would be where I'd start. Since the UCG-Ultra went in, it's been spot on, just wish I hadn't wasted ££ on the Express and gone for a...
Nope, all standard re firewall rules.
Maybe I should have logged a call with UI, but it's in AP mode now. Still showing odd things anyway, it shows zero clients connected, but there are and such.

I would, but equally depends what connection speed they have, number of devices and use case. Express and Lite I think are pointless offerings overall, but Unifi like to clutter their product space.
Well I installed the UCG-Ultra last night at a family member as a replacement to the Unifi Express, massive improvement. So currently setup is NanoHD, Unifi Express and a 3rd party switch with a Virgin connection.
Previously the Unifi Express would sometimes sit at 100% CPU and drop the...
I should have waited
TBF happy with BB and it comes with 2 year warranty. Had it testing and restored a UX express backup to it and all ok.
Not done much with UniFi router devices, but is smart queues decent re buffer bloat? I have it working fine with my pfsense shaping. This Ultra going...
A bit more expensive that the other options, but the others I have seen have no ETA on arrival. Ordered a Raspberry Pi PSU for the units last night too.
Not delved into Avahi as I few an iPhone the same as Sonos etc. all that sits on it’s on segment whilst my NAS, PC, Laptop etc are on their own with relevant FW rules
Got a couple of UCG-Ultra units on order, but eta listed as end of May/June. It'll meet the needs of the two family members, beyond that don't really care re the 2.5GBit WAN port etc. Connection speeds they're going on are 350/35 and 900/900.
One to replace a pfsense instance and the other to...
Took a bit of a punt on a NanoHD at £35 for a family member, they don't have a quick internet connection, so it'll be dropped onto the ceiling area of their bungalow to cover the front portion of the house, which is generally has Alex, Ring and iPad devices connected.
Been indicated end of May...
Does anyone know eta of cloud ultra for UK?
Installed an express at sister in law last night and it’s working all fine. However found cable faults, so my loan FlexHD can’t be wired into the preferred location.
Plan is to get wired sockets sorted and maybe switch to the cloud ultra with 2 x...
