I had this issue with my Yamaha AV amp, I'd almost get to the end of a film and it would switch off apparently randomly. I initially thought it was an overheating issue. It turned out it went into standby after 90 mins if it thought it wasn't being used, so any volume change reset the counter -...
The Abyss still out of stock since release day, so waiting for that to be shipped. From what I've seen in reviews it’s a shame the navigation screens haven’t made it over from the DVD, I remember being impressed with the menus that incidentally were anamorphic, so it’s a shame the film wasn't -...
Nvidia Shield with Plex installed next to your TV with a power socket ethernet connection to your PC content in another room, or you could hook it up to a NAS. This of course involves spending money getting more kit, so this will probably be low in the priority list if you are moving house and...
Nearly made the effort to try and travel the significant distance to see this on the nearest IMAX screen to me, however I was surprised to find out that unlike the previous MI film there are no sequences that use the full IMAX aspect ratio and it remains locked at the widescreen 2.39 ratio...
The best thing to do is contact the Hire Car company and get them to send you the NIP so you can admit liability - this will not go away. In my experience the only thing the Hire Car company seem to be good at is charging the admin fee - I managed to get it refunded as they made such a mess of...
One of the enjoyable aspects of this show was it wasn't too busy - this of course may have an impact on the decision of it returning next year. The venue was also a really good location, parking was easy and the rooms were all a good size - there wasn't any issues of us being crammed in rooms...
First hi-fi show I've been to in a while and its been one of the best.
Concentrating on the high end cream of the crop it definitely delivered on that front, every system was absolutely stunning both in terms of sonic performance and visual presentation from an engineering point of view. I...
I use an XBone with the Kodi Player for 3D SBS videos but have to manually select 3D on the projector with the video paused for it to work.
I also have an Nvidia Shield but it does not support 3D which is a shame, also worth noting that Plex doesn't support 3D either.
If the clothes are regenerating as well as the appearance of a same but different version of the Doctor suggests that this regeneration is different and it may pave the way for more old/different versions of the Doctor appearing before Ncuti Gatwa depending on which actor is up for it. I think...
Went to pick up my new F-Type yesterday - happy to have the new car which is fantastic, but a little sad to end my long ownership of the 350Z Roadster which has been a great car.
Here are the two of them parked next to each other -
Interesting comments and agree that some of the systems just didn't sound as good as they should have. The Brian and Trevor system was an example that didn't look particularly interesting but sounded fantastic and the system with the big red horn speakers looked amazing but the sound wasn't...
First Hi-fi show I've been to since the pandemic, the last one was the Bristol Show just before everything kicked off.
Went on the Sunday and it was really good to be back - I think it was bigger than the last one, probably due to the time gap and the fact that lots of new products were on the...
