Worth paying more for an Audi over a Skoda?

Sorry I don't know it was quite a while ago now. I think it was a 2.0l diesel. They share engines do they?

Worth paying more for an Audi over a Skoda?

I don't know. Maybe they are built in different factories. My opinion is based mostly on anecdotal evidence over the years, and I just get the impression the Passat tends not to be so reliable. My brother-in-law had a diesel one which blew up on holiday in France (injectors I think). Also, the...

Worth paying more for an Audi over a Skoda?

I would get an Octavia as it will be cheaper to maintain than an A4, and is a nice car offering good value. In general I regard Passats as having poorer reliability.

    Cordless mower recommendation?

If you don't have many cordless power tools already, it's worth considering what other cordless products the manufacturer offers, as you are picking your cordless "ecosystem" for which batteries can be shared.

Sound insulation vs thermal insulation for eaves/loft

My knowledge is based on a quick read of that article ... If you don't have a sound issue, then personally I would be wanting the best in thermal performance. I expect there is a thermal performance rating assigned to all insulation products, and I would imagine that some will be higher than a...

Sound insulation vs thermal insulation for eaves/loft

On: https://www.rockwool.com/uk/advice-and-inspiration/case-studies/south-quays/ It says "The new range is able to meet and exceed Part L (thermal), Part E (sound), and Part B (fire) of the Building Regulations, when installed in accordance with the ROCKWOOL guidelines." Exceeding Part L...

It's some kind of spam because it's not the first kind of post you would make on a computer forum and way too detailed. Hence no reply.

Would You Send a Photo/Scan of Your Passport Over E-mail?

I think no, because it's not going to be end-to-end encrypted, making you vulnerable to identity theft. I would be sending from Outlook online, but even though that might be encrypted(?), the recipient e-mail may not be. So, I think it's not good practice to e-mail a copy of your passport...

Who has had their roof cleaned?

Pics would help the assessment. I would agree that one of the main issues is extra weight from water adsorption by the moss and greater potential for water damage when freezing. If it's not that mossy, then it's largely a cosmetic issue.

Best way to test TV Aerial Connection?

I take it you've tried rescanning for channels on your TV? If you're getting some channels, it suggests the cable is intact, and seems more likely to be an aerial positioning/pointing issue to me.
