    Massive Car insurance costs?

I think I'm getting a decent rate partly because I've been a customer for 8 consecutive years with Greenlight and never made a claim, shame I'll probably be leaving them this year because I want a BMW and they won't touch them regardless of whether it's a 116d or M5.

£519 this year to insure my modified Megane Trophy, using Greenlight insurance. Can't really grumble at that.

    BMW and M Power Owners

I'm really after changing my Megane Trophy for an M2. I quite like the look of this car which is a facelift 67 plate so must've one of the first ones. I'm new to BMW so would appreciate some input from you guys who know more about these. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202401085364307

    Show Us Your Motors!

Oh yeah, plaid shirt and dealers boots are in the post and I've got Marty Mone on repeat already ;) The drivetrain is decent but I miss the manual box in my DAF. I still like a DAF but they just don't hide the age at all and they really do start to come apart after a few years with rattles and...

    Show Us Your Motors!

@Scania , I finally got a proper truck ;) I can see why you like them so much now, been in this for a few weeks since I changed jobs and I finally understand the hype. Needs a bit of work with the cutting compound but it's a job for when the garage is empty to get it indoors on a Satuday. Lovely...

Purchased a small French lightweight hot hatch - Renault Clio 172 Cup & NOW 182 Trophy

You can get just as good result with some laundry detergent in a bucket of warm water and a brush, not need to buy any fancy chemicals. I had to do the belts on my Clio 200 and they were like new afterwards.

No. The country is in the toilet and we're expected to celebrate a new overlord taking the throne? Get lost.

The OcUK Relationship Counselling and Hugs Thread

Thanks for the replies, a bit too much to reply to but a lot of food for thought! My main priority is getting my mortgage sorted so that I can get her out of my life properly (She's moved back in with her mother and I'm living in the house), it couldn't have come at a worse time considering the...

    What watch do you wear?

Are you sure the retailer didn't mess up with application and put in some incorrect details? That definitely doesn't sound right. As for battening down the hatches, I'm feeling it at the moment. Currently going through a breakup with the Mrs and am struggling to mortgage £110k on 35k p/a, even...

    UK Gun Laws

How do you come to that conclusion?

    UK Gun Laws

UK Police were only issued with pepper spray around 2001 and look how powerless they still are against a powerful grown man. The chances of a civilian being allowed anything to protect themselves anytime soon is pretty much zero, the government doesn't want the general public defending itself.
